Title: Welcome from Graham Lee
Post by: Graham Lee on March 18, 2008, 02:08:04 PM
Well hello to everyone, just trying to programme the site up with my limited amount of knowledge with computers.
I think I may have to get someone to help me set the forum up.
Very busy at the moment with the Ralph Dewey lecture, my balloon act show & lecturing.
Hope to find time soon to get the forum up & working.

Hi Graham, no problem with joining, also downloading pic is easy, will test more stuff latter, will delete this post once I've heard from you and I'll do an intro. Any help I can give just ask.

Hi, well done on getting it started.
If I can help let me know, best thing is just to ask a question and see if anyone knows. My little brother is a bit of a whizz on these things so I will be a picking at his brains when I catch up with him.

Well everyone seems to know more than me about the workings of this site.
I'm very surprised that it's working?
Need to put other sections up where people can chat about different topics.
Would like to encourage everyone to join in & use the site from basic beginner to the more advanced.
Think I will need to speak to a few more experienced people about running the site, at the moment very busy this week.
Off to Birmingham tomorrow to perform my balloon magic act, (http://www.magicact.co.uk (http://www.magicact.co.uk)) at the British Magical Society
annual dinner then on Wed back up to Birmingham to lecture for another magic club and travelling up to Doncaster on Thursday
to lecture at the juggling convention.
So hopefully the week after I can spend a few days sorting out the site, so a very warm welcome to everyone.
Dave, leave the picture up. It looks good having Ralph with the sempertex logo.

So that's Ralph Dewey! I have some of his earliest books that I learned basic animals out of about 15 - 20 years ago. I blush to admit that - I've only gotten into it seriously a couple of years ago.

Cheers,

Just been trying to add some new topics onto the forum without much success,  :(
so it's back to the drawing board as they say, setting the forum up may be a long process
for me. Or we could call for International Rescue, does anyone have there number?

Hi Graham, if you need a hand just let me know. I am an network engineer by trade and I have some computer skills. I also have had my own phpbb forum for a few years so I know a thing or two about how to make this work.
Let me know if you need help, will you!

BTW, I am thinking more and more about going to the milleniumjam, it would be great to see some of you guy's

14 members and only a introduction page that's good

Perhaps we should put all the sections on the Introduction page,
would make it nice & simply for me :D  :D
Just a thought.

I think that would work OK - as long as the sections are clearly labelled - the more sections you get the harder it can be to find what you want!

Wim Has kindly volunteered to help me set up the forum.
So will try & make it as user friendly as possible.
I have managed to load up a fuzzy picture & to merge
two subjects into one, as they say life is an education
or something like that.
