Hi everyone

I checked with Graham if he doesn't mind me putting my request for help on the forum. Thank you Graham.

You can read about my story on how I started with the balloons here: clown4fun-tony-interview-21st-27th-sept-t1886.html

However, I have a big problem on my hand, and honestly I am petrified that it will not turn out positively. I am going to fight the local Council over their decision that I made myself intentionally homeless.

Here is the link that explain my story, and at the same it is a fundraising request. Can you help single daddy with son in distress? Every little or big amount with help.

thank you

Hi everybody,

it's a question that is on my mind for some time:

is it possible in UK for a children entertainer, like balloon twister to support himself/herself full time with this economical climate that we have now?

My "clown" jobs as I call it, come not so often as I wish. Maybe one reason is that I don't advertise myself as much as I would like. So how are you ladies and gentlemen cope with this. I understand that there are some very talented people on this forum, and also some people who do magic with their shows (what I sadly not able to do at the moment. Never trained yet with magic tricks, plus the sets are now out of my pocket).
Now please, do not misunderstand me, I do have returning customers and agencies, yet at the moment it is not enough to put the roof over my head and food on my table.

So how does it work with you guys? How do you cope? how do you get the jobs? and continuity?

any advice?
Mr. Tony

For a long time, I was considering what to do to start building a simple show on parties for kids, so there are not only balloons and face painting. Never did magic yet, so I what should I do?

Well, on Practical Magic web site I found this funny rutine with a puppet dog, and finally placed the order for the puppet. Will reach my this week, and will have couple of days to practice the routine before Sundays birthday party.
now what made me buy it? well, kids are the best judges of fun, and when I did show this clip to my 10 son, //http://www.practical-magic.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=100 he really had a good time.

So I am going to see, how it works, but I am positively charged that it's going to be great.

did anybody else used this particular puppet or other puppets?

I need some advice, where online to buy a good quality clown pants/trousers (whatever you want to call them).

Does anyone knows a good shop with quality items? what I need are red pants with checkers on them, kind of like scottish kilt design...

there are a lot of such things on ebay, but I rather do not experiment and waste money. Everybody knows that wise men learns from experience, and wiser learns from experience of others ...

Picture Gallery / Birthday Party Ideas...
September 20, 2009, 09:35:39 PM
I didn't know exactly where to put this post, so if Admin thinks it should go somewhere pls go ahead.

Anyway, today I was booked for the birthday party. I decided to take some premade balloons for the children.  So we needed something to carry the balloons.... Of course gargabe bags were out of question  :D  Thank goodnes, my wife Ania is a very talented woman and she did this huuuuge bag out of colorful material. Actually it was bought to make a vest for me, yet the need was different.

The bag was a bullseyes hit, as kids had a laugh when I was "diving" into it to get the balloons, but also it made the delivery of premade scupltures more a surprise..

Now I also did a cool way to pass my business cards after the party....
I put them inside of the stem of a flower with use of the Qualatex Magic Pump.... everybody liked the idea...

Birthday boy wanted a knight and a princess, as it was the theme of the party.

on the photo I used the yellow stem, but it works best with clear ones...
My son is next to the bag full of balloons for size comparison...
As far as the knight, it was my idea and it it took me close to an hour to twist it and probably I did it only once, as I have to find some quicker way.
Princess is based on idea from #57 Balloon Magic by Shirley Ray

Picture Gallery / Timing of the Balloons.

I just thought about an idea if when we do put the photos of our twisted creations on site, if we could also add a little note on how much time it took us to make that particular thing. like aprroximate estimate.

what do you think?
