Thanks, here is another one . Thats not very difficult to do , you need to tie the uninflated balloons on a metallic stick ( florist material ) , have good fingers ...and a lot of time to bring all together

I love these, so want to try this method out where do you get the florists wire from?

Any more pics?

Thanks. You can find this floral wire directly by florist or in some garden shops ( i buy mine by my balloon retailer in France ) . They cost about 5 euros / 100 and exist in 3 diameter, you can although buy normal wire and cut them yourself at good lenght ( all types of wire works ) .

Some more pictures here   .

This was a test with painting on the flower .

Really amazing. This may seem like a silly question but do you make the leaves out of wire then stretch the latex balloon skin over the top?

Nice work.

I do like flowers made this way but find it hard work to make lots of them, and have not done it for ages. If anyone coming to the City of London jam would like to see the basics of how to do it I will be happy to show them.

You put the balloon over a wire bent in half then shape the wire inside the balloon, take a bit of practice, try goole or youtube for 'Fantasy flowers'.

Yes , thats it , once you have tide the ballon on the wire juste give the leaf the shape you want (round, point or other ) . For big leafes i use bigger wire so the they can hold the tension of 11" balloons .
I do this flower almost for pleasure and rarely sell them , its a long work and most people think they are not hand made .

I'am just an amateur    , look at Rie Hosokai and Sofie Vandewyer work site , they are god of strectched balloons .

Hi could you tell me where I am going wrong with mine? Your's look perfect shaped petals but when I pull mine they seem do go in to like squarish points, it doesn't  follow round the petal smoothly at all, is there are particular way of pulling them? I have bought a DVD and mine still don't look quite right. Thanks Emma

Hi Emma ,

May be you use a too little diameter of wire , if the wire is not hard enough ,the tension can disturb the shape  and if the tension is not great enough , you cant have a good shape( you should try another bigger wire )
Otherwise you need to stretch the balloon at the maximum so the balloon follow the wire . Once the balloon on the wire , you just have to open the leaf and bent it to give her a nice flower shape .
To pull them on the wire , i stretch the balloon at maximum on the wire and turn it hardly 4/5 times at the end .

Its a bit hard to explain , i'am better on balloon that in english vocabulary  :D

Thank you that's a big help I think the wire I am using is not long enough then, I have the pre cut wire so I will look for it on a large roll like in your photo and see if that help. Thanks again!
