Hi Robb,

I would agree with Snurb, if you can already make a sword then just stick to the one you can make. Yes you can spend time making them more complicated but to a child it will still be a sword.

The problems I found when I started out with ballooning is swords will just cause young boys to fight, girls to get upset for being stabbed with swords and I would spend my time remaking all the swords. I never make swords at any events unless the the person booking me has explicitly demanded that I do (and even then I try to put them off).

Take a look at the some of the models here, or maybe my DVD reviews, and if there is anything you fancy making then I am sure any of the friendly people here will point you in the right direction.

Enjoy the adventure!

As others have said, there is loads of not complicated, but very effective stuff out there, but we all start with swords, and with rough play, they do tend to untwist.

Because of my location, there are LOADS AND LOADS of pirate events, as a result of which I must have tried every variation of sword imaginable, and have eventually come across what you are looking for....The best balloon sword in the world.

Just use a 350 and a 260. The 350 gives it that extra WOW factor, and as there are no twists in the main body of the sword there is nothing to come undone !!

For completeness, here is the tutorial  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flq93hQevTQ

The first pic is with my REAL sword......no one messes up on my ship !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kind regards
