I am going with the family to the Olympics tomorrow and the wife wanted a headband with a monkey that would hold some small paper flags she has. So I adapted David Brenion's monkey to have some hands. Hope you like it. Watch out for me on TV tomorrow!

Going to see the hockey in the afternoon at the Olympic Park. I am planning to take a small bag of balloons and a pump to make something for the whole family to wear. Just hope I can get it passed security.

The face is just black ink - I don't like the smile myself so will change it for tomorrow. I use a Pental Maxiflo. The flags were cupcake cases that I cut into flags and laminated.

I've found a way to enhance my balloon models....

Very cool!  Of course I would rather see Canadian flags on him LOLOLOLOL.  Have fun anyway!

What I learned about the Olympics today...

A) the Olympic park is superb, the organisation excellent and makes me proud to be British.
B) the rules of Hockey.
C) balloon headbands are very popular and were voted by the organisers at the entrance gates to be the best head gear seen at the Olympics so far ( I actually think this may be part of their training to give compliments to Olympic guests)
D) that balloon monkeys and penguins survive a trip through an airport style x-ray scanners.
E) that un-inflated 260s are prohibited items.
F) that a 10mins interview by security staff is to be expected along with accusations of planning to sell them on the park.
G) that only on offering to make them all a balloon was I allowed to keep my small bag of 260s on the understanding that taking them out of my bag at any point would get me thrown out of the park.
H) that a small container of hypodermic needles and vials of liquids go through security checks without question (my daughter needs this for her medical condition)

It did make me laugh ;-)
