Hi wondering if someone can help, I recently completed my NABAS course and still building a portfolio, however I have had a request for a 'different' and 'special' large decoration for a table for an 18th Birthday, now they have asked for feathers, and I once seen a display somewhere and it was a large gum ball style with a feather boa attached to it what I am wondering is would the feather boa be on a stand or would the balloon be helium filled, as I assumed the feather boa would have pulled the balloon down? I would love to hear from someone with experience as to how this could be achieved, I should say that I also think the 3ft balloon would be too big as a table decoration so I was thinking of a large 16 inch double bubble with the feather boa and balloon collar x

Thanks in advance

I have used feather boas in tests with helium filled 3 foot balloons both latex and foil and they always only float about 3/4 foot with a boa... unless you strip it back it is heavy in the weight... maybe you can get some real cheap thin boas

best would be to use a stand of some sort and wrap it round with you balloon on the top

did some displays recently for a carnival theme and their brief was must have ostrich feathers in the design.. a simple mini table column with feathers out the top and then a bouquet of the 4 colours they chose of helium filed 11" as per the photo

ostrich feathers are expensive though

Hi
I have used them but it takes a few balloons to keep them up for any length of time.

I got some quite light boa's from the £1 shop. I think they were err a £.
When it comes to the day I arive at the pearly gates I hope to slide in sideways saying to st Peter WOW!!! what a ride.
