I only have 260 balloons (good range of colours) and a few white five inch rounds. I want to have a go at something big and impressive. Any suggestions or ideas welcome.
Thanks

You can make lots of impressive things purely from 260s - you just need to weave them to create larger sculptures. Other ideas combine several models into a scene. I am sure there are loads of ideas on here - one that springs to mine was a pilot in an aeroplane, think someone else did napoleon or duke of wellington but I am sure there are many more.

You can make anything by combining several coloured 260s. Be good to see what you come up with :)

Thanks Sonia,
I am still learning how to weave and have tried a dragon head I saw on a website (may be a balloon chat member)
As a result, I have forced things in directions they maybe should not go, had one or two burst bubbles but I am pleased with the result. Don't know if I have the skill or patience to do a body.

Completed my dragon. Used what I could do so not the neatest but still happy with it.
Would love any feedback.
Taking it to the library soon for others to enjoy.

P.s. these look the right way up on my screen Graham!

After a suggestion from Sonia regarding weaving to create a large sculpture, I found a dragon on a website (possibly a chat member) and had a go.
I am not great at weaving and forced a bubble or two where they probably should not go, had one or two pops.
Still, am happy with the head.
Don't think I have the skill or patience to tackle the body. Will post if I do.

Was the website Australian?  :)  :D
Roger built a dragon a few months back for the market where he has his stall.

I am at a loss as to why they were upside down. They were fine on my tablet and then when I checked on pc they were not. I then turned them around and they stayed upside down, so I turned them back again and that seems to have worked.
Weird!!  :D

Thanks very much Sonia. I reckon it took between four and five hours. The hard part for me was trying to work out what to do from the picture I saw. I would have liked to have done the feet in a more solid way but could not figure this out ( have them bend I such a short space of time) without leaving gaps. Still I was chuffed to bits with it.
It is only a hobby really but I love doing it, been going for about 7 months now. It is quite addictive. I even got the kids at school in to it. I run a weekly club and get them building flowers etc.
 :D regards
