I have just purchased my first bag of carnival colour hearts. I have seen them used so many times and now I have them, I am struggling to know what to try.
Any ideas that are straight forward?

I like using them for fish bodies on my line work fish on a pole.  Lips on the nozzle and back fins in between the lobes keeps the the balloon from slipping.

You can make an angel body. Saw a holly hopper tutorial with it.

Of the top of my head I like to use red ones to make ladybirds, there should be a tutorial on you tube I think. Also for bigger things you can use them for ken Stillmans superhero heads and they are awesome on balloon click he has the flash which is red and I use black for the dark knight

Here are my efforts so far. I made the ladybird with four small feet which made it topple forwards. An obvious rethink needed. The snake was ok, the green heart supposed to be like a cobra head. I think it works ok but not 100% happy with the head/ mouth and where it sits in relation to the heart.
Any suggestions for development would be appreciated. Your comments and advice are really useful.

For the ladybird I usually leave some space in the heart so you can squeeze it up and make a pinch twist in the end for the head. For the feet I make 2 bubbles then a pinch twist and two more bubbles so you have 5 bubbles. Then go round the head pop and tie and go round the hole thing between the lobes and around the head. This pins the legs to the red heart, puts a nice black line down the body and if you go round again you can use the excess to make a fist band. If yours search balloon ladybird on you tube you should find it.
