Thanks themla for bringin this new idea to all our attentions, the bike looks amazing.

Daniel i love how you have used the multi coloured balloon

Mandy, i think the balloon is a 'Razz' or something similar, i believe they are made by Globos, and Playtime Balloons sell them in 50s and 100s.

if it is a razz, they are great because the extra thickness means ideal for something like this as they are much harder to pop by accident.

Hello mandy,
Yes it is an agate 11 inch round.  You can get them in the UK as Sempertex or from USA as Betallatex.

The other night I was sitting here at the computer playing with the 'flat shape' when the electricity went out due to a thunderstorm. So I lit a candle and by candle light made this simple electric guitar. I was going to add more detail to it once the lights came back on but when they did I noticed that there was a slow leak in the neck of the guitar. Taking the photo was fun... Just point the camera in the right direction and hope for the best since I couldn't even see the guitar in the view finder.

I tried to make a bigger version using a 16" round but I popped both of the ones I had.  Guess they were too old to work with or by then there was too much static electricity in the air.

After I finished playing with the rounds I tried using a heart.  I couldn't get a 260 to curve into a heart shape, so I used a 160 for the next effort.  I'm not too thrilled with the effort, but here it is anyway.

Hi Bonnie
Thats it! I had a go and then went on to other stuff but I definitely need to go back to it.  See what else can be done.  I am not working till tonight.  I will see if I can come up with something else.  Nice work!!  Shall we start a band?

Thelma, I love your bike!!!

I tried to make that flat creation also, it didn't came out perfect, but I thought it would make a nice kayak. So here's my first try (with an alien, it was the first 'face balloon' I found).

What a superb bike Thelma, I can honestly say that it is fantastic and I know bikes, I have raced them for many years at all levels (I am thinking of giving up as I never beat them  ) and my club keeps asking me if I can do something for their end of season doa nd I may have to try and emulate you.
Many many thanks for showing that design  :D

Thanks for the comments about the bike.  I forgot all about doing the flat shapes further because I am in the throes of doing too many things at the moment.  I like your alien in a kayak.   That made me smile.  I did a similar shape last week to make a flat hat for a model.  Would never have thought about a kayak though.  Nice one!!!

Was going to attach a picture but having a problem doing so.

My doughter saw something else in my flat shape creations, so I made one for her.....:

I was in Morrisons Store the other day and noticed they have some big mistletoe decorations in there.  I thought "I wonder if I can make something like that with balloons" Mike looked at me and said "I can read your mind, you are thinking about your balloons again! Are you going to try to make that?"  Oh dear, I am that obvious.  Well I had a go using the 260 in a round balloon again and this was the result.  I was well pleased if I say so myself.
