Any tips on how to make the base better as can see a gap where it tied.

I would either have four parts to the skirt so they can rest between the rounds or do three part skirt and turn them flat. Hope that makes sense.

Or you could put a 260 up from the centre of the rounds and attach to the bottom of the fairy.

Many great ideas already shown, but... you could rest her to a "7 flower Petal" (shown by David Brenion - used for wristbands / hair bands), or simply as a flower, you could use "Thelma's" CD idea to stand as either a Mushroom / Toadstool or on its own, or even a candy cup or even a single (small) carpet/kitchen (self adhesive Vinyl / lino tile (from a lot of £ shops)) as a base to pull down the rounds (much like a column base).....

sorry.. I will try to get some examples up as soon as time permits.. :)
