I've had Ken's DVD a while now & had viewed the first ten minutes, well today I've had a real good day for me.
Organised the balloon stock, sorted out all the orders, phoned all the answer messages from yesterday as we went down to see Crofty, coffee on the forum & his new little daughter Mary who is about 16 weeks old & a right little cutie she is as well. So this afternoon I promised myself I'd have a go at making one of Ken's princesses, wow what a great DVD by Ken with Patricia Bunnell doing the filming, editing etc. A really nice product & some great designs, highly recommended ;)  A must have.
So here is my first attempt;

Graham,

As you don't sell the linkaloons for the hem, what do you suggest as an alternative (balloon or supplier!)?

Martin.

Use a 646/660. Plan on getting about 4 bubbles out of each.

I've made several of these princesses as I use them in a routine in my show. I've always used 646/660's for the hem. You can see one of them in this photo. One of her vertical dress lines is gone as it popped during the routine (yes, it's that kind of show   ).

Ps. Nice work Graham!

very pretty Graham. Like the hairdo.

If you use a 660 you will have enough balloon for the hem & skirt with a mini weave,
so will still use only 12 660's for the whole of the skirt.
I am thinking of getting some link a loons in stock :)

As a decorator we do these skirt designs for a different Bride rather than the balloon column style, but as the hem we just twist part of the 646/660 across. I know it would produce a slilghtly shorter skirt, but who would notice?

As you are mentioning link-o-loons does Ken use these to get the same effect?

Hi all
Richard AKA Donut came round to my house yesterday and we spent some time trying out Ken Stillmans Princess. We only got to make one due to a lack of the 660's in matching colours.

I have attached a pic and we don't think it is bad for a first attempt.
For those that have the DVD we did not have any link-a-loons so had to replace using 660 but it seemed to work fine.

I am hoping to do some wedding fairs shortly and this will defiantly feature.

Graham will we be able to get Link-o-Loons via you, and I would defiantly look at holding some stock of the 660's in the wedding type colours (yellow light pink)I think these are going to be popular.

very nice Roger - I should think that would be a very popular figure, maybe offer a scaled down one in 360's too?

I've just watched this DVD, and I want ago!

I have a big bag of hearts that I got from you graham, now I just need the other large long balloon thingy's!

I know this a sempertex site, but are all the balloon's used on the DVD sempertex? Or are some "the other brand"

Could someone post a list thats on his DVD. I think i'd rather use the link a loons as they do look nice and round! And the blush and pink do go well together!

Also, do you do them in colours graham, or are they all mixed bags of this size? As buying a bag of mixed just for 1 colour would be a mare
