We are going to put the details for some basic balloon models up onto the forum although were not sure yet where they will go. This is the first of six to start with and I'll add some text to them as well.

I've also had 14 line drawings done to explain all the different twists etc, will add some text and put these up as well.
Covered so far are;

How to tie the knot, as without this everything else is nearly redundent
Fold/loop twist
Loop twist using knot
Lock twist
Bird body/Lock twist roll through
Hook twist
S twist
Tulip/appletwist
Frumple twist
Pinch/ear twist
Split twist
Pop twist
Marriage twist
Friction shaping

The line drawings have been done by John Anscombe and are excellent, he's also added some little funnies to them as well.
This is one of the old ones that was done a few years back for some lecture notes;

This is the new instructions for the marriage twist that John has just done for me, excellent line drawings :D and the little married couple in the corner, what more could you want. If anyone is looking for a characeture/artist then I highly recommend John. He has also done the cartoons on my old website, http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/home.htm if you look around the pages there is a cartoon on quite a few of them.

Will add some text to the drawing later to help clarify things for the newbie and more seasoned twister.

Have put all 16 twists & folds etc up in the new balloon tutorial & help section,
viewforum.php?f=25

looking for a guinea pig who is a novice with the different techniques to see if from the instructions they can understand & perhaps have a go at the different techniques to see if the instructions are clear or need improving upon.

Have also added a basic dog tutorial so if anyone has a partner that is not a twister could they try & attempt the dog with the written instructions to see if they are clear enough for an absolute begineer.

We will put up six basic tutorials to start with and then all of them with the twists & techniques will be put onto a new page to be built onto the home news page so that it will help with the search engines & perhaps pull in new people to the forum who are looking to take up balloon modelling as a hobby or for a bit of fun. As we all know that it's very addictive & when they start there will be no stopping them.
