August Model of the Month (Flower)

We have gone with a Flower design for the August model of the month.
This is what will be in every order for August and I will put the instructions up shortly.

Inflate the Green base 160 balloon leaving 5 fingers un-inflated,
make a 3 finger fold twist (6 finger bubble) followed by a 1 finger pinch twist.
Then make the second 3 finger fold twist.

Followed by two more 3 finger fold twists to finish of the lower section of the base.
Then make an 8 finger bubble into a fold twist for one side of the upper section of the base.

Then make another 8 finger bubble into the second fold twist for the other side.
The remainder of the 160 will vary in size, ideally you want about a 10/11 finger bubble,
if yours is to long you can break off the stem from the base section,
make shorter and then re-attach back to the base section..

As you can see on mine I did shorten the final stem section of the Flower.

When making the Flower pre stretch the 160 before inflating and then leave 6 fingers un inflated.
Then stretch the balloon again before twisting eight 3 or 3.5 finger fold twists which are 6/7 finger bubbles.

Once you have made the eight fold twists for the flower it will not sit correctly till you have added the stem.
For this make a 1.5 finger bubble in the stem balloon to fix onto the Flower.

Shock twist the two larger fold twists on the base to give some shape, they can fold upwards or outwards depending on what you like the best.
To get the look for the flower inter weaving push the front section of one of the fold twists into the centre
of the next fold twist and repeat all the way around.
Picture 18 we are half way around doing this.

Once you have done this for the front it's best to do the same at the back of the Flower so both sides look even.
Also put a shock twist onto the stem of the flower so it faces forward more.

I changed the large fold twists on the base here so they were looking upwards.
