I also bought David Grist's DVD Vol 9 recently. Looking at the publication date, I think I am 6 to 7 years late making this bi-plane, which is my first attempt. But I 'm sure it's not too late to learn his skill. This is also the 'biggest' balloon model I ever tried.
(I cheated a little at the front as I didn't have the round balloon for the engine   )DSC02897.jpg[/attachment:e9z5qrxe]

looks great!  And it's not cheating...it's being able to adjust and use what you have.  Nice work! :)

This is a classic, and regardless of when David recorded the video or DVD we are still copying it without deviation or interpretation.

The mark of a truly gifted artist, in my humble opinion...

I made one a couple of weeks back for a 90th birthday present for someone who used to actually fly them and train others to as well. Apparently it went down a storm (with the Mum's at school too as I delivered it there for the lady concerned) and am just waiting for a photo of the birthday boy with his plane.  Here is my latest attempt:

I just feel the need to cut it from it's background and paste it into some blue skies & fields

Hi
I have been wanting to make a plane for a long time.
So after looking at all of your great planes, I pull out Balloon Magic Magazine #39 and had a go.
Heres what I got, it was a lot of fun making something this big, and wow was I surprised how big it turn out.   :D
