Hi one and all.
I have had a web space for sometime doing nothing called Balloon Modelling UK.

I know modelling is spelt with one L, but the highest amount of searches on Google use two.
Any way, I have found a use for it and for all of you if you want.
I have put a photo gallery on it using gallery2 software and it is for anyone who would like to display their work.  You can display your photos for all to see or restrict to registered user only or have it so only you can see it when you yourself log on.
You can upload as many photos as you like as the server has unlimited disk space within reason.
Photos can be any size but in practice I have found that images lager than 1500px don't produce thumbnails on the album page.

I hope it will be of use to you all and you take advantage of it.

By the way I don't have any links to my own site I only have Lord Geoffrey Balloon Guy album.

Hi Craig. It takes some getting use to but the easiest way I found was to open the album that you want to add too such as the large balloon album. At the bottom of the page is an edit link. click this and on the left hand side you will see a menu. Click the second on down (Add items) and this will open a new window with tabs across the top. I have found that the Upload Applet is the best for me as it opens a  Java file explore type window so you can find the file you want on you computer and select them for upload. highlight all the file you want and click upload. It takes a bit of time uploading but it works.
I will over the next week try and see if an easyer way is possiable.

The other thing is to do it one or two at a time using the firs tab on the add items page (from web browser) This is just like uploading a pic file to this forum but is very slow.

I hope this helps and I look forward to seeing all your photos. I do like the large duck I must say.

See you have uploaded some photos but it looks like you are having the same problem that I had with no thumb nail or picture appearing.
To solve this I found that the photo you are uploading can't have the largest Pixel dimension of more than 1600px.
I notice that the one photo that will display has a max size of 1600px and by the way very impressive bike.

You will need to log on and delete the photos that haven't worked and re upload them after resizing them.

The resizer that I use is and find it very easy to use is fast image resize free from http://adionsoft.net/fastimageresize/

Links to anything balloon orientated. Web sites like this. It's up to you all who place photos on it. One thing I have notice on other sites when looking to see how different sites use gallery2 is that a lot of them are linked to Blogs. Not somthing I know much about but I'm willing to find out how it can be incorporated into the site if any one is interested.

Just an idea.
I have set up an album on http://www.balloonmodellinguk.co.uk for anyone who wants to upload photos from The Millennium Jam.

To make it simple logon with User Name Millennium Jam and password Millennium Jam

The one thing to remember is that the biggest size a picture can be is 1500px on the biggest side.
To upload photos.

Click on the Millennium Jam album after you have logon and then click on the edit button at the bottom of the page.
Now click on add item in the new menu that has appeared.
All other info on how to upload photos is on the getting started page.

Just came across this!! Well done m'lord. Fandabadozie! My pics are all over the place at the mo but that is probably because of the brandy! Will sort it out soon hopefuly. This would be even better if the vast majority of balloon chat people had a go.
