Christine I can only echo what the others have said. I cannot justify buying huge amounts of CD's & DVD's but I believe I have all of yours (or if I don't I should have!) and they are incredibly clear and easy to follow and I love them for line work and on jobs because they really are 5 minute delights.

To use such foul language and in the first instance is not just unnecessary but if he was at the doctors or in a shop using language like that he would have the police called on him! They don't put up with it and neither should you.

As for what you should do I am afraid I am no use because I haven't a clue.

I havent read all the comment.  But I thought I would give my five pence worth.  What a stupid man.  If the person he bought the cds for was a beginner then it is he who is at fault for buying something that never claimed to be for beginners.  I take it you don't state on your pdfs that these are good instructions for total beginners.  You say they take about 5 min to make not that they are beginner level.  If he thought that because they are fairly quick that makes them beginners balloons he is the one did not think it through and he owes you a huge apology for his attitude.  If he could not do the models so easily perhaps he is suffering from delusions of grandure.  He isnt as good a twister as he imagins he is.
I dont suppose he will apologise.  The people who are so quick to accuse never do.  You cant please everyone.  That does not mean you should stop selling them.  If you can please most of the people thats good.  Ignore him.

I will echo what everyone else has said!  I bought one of your PDFs, and I thought your instructions were clear and the sculptures were delightful!  

Now, what to do about him...I would tell him you are sorry he feels that way, but in the X number of years you have had your files for sale you have had no other complaints except his, and since this is intellectual property that he has you cannot refund him the money.  

If someone bought a music CD, ripped the contents on their computer, and then took it back to the store to complain that they didn't like the music and wanted their money back, what do you think the store would do?  Give the person a refund?  No!  But that's basically what that person is asking you.  

You work is wonderful.  Don't give up!

My first thought when just reading that vulgar nasty post was that it was from that crazy man that got booted from here.
The language and nastiness seems very familiar.

Whomever it is, is likely just a very jealous soul with very little of their own talent.

I would like to add my two pence worth as well. I purchased your PDF 5 minute wonder dvds at Kidology a few years ago purely because I fell in love with your cat model. From my own personal experience your instructions ARE CLEAR AND CONCISE. The images are wonderful and the final results are a joy to behold.

Are your models for beginners? NO. and you don't claim them to be either  :lol:
Do your models take longer than 5 minutes? - Like everything when attempted for the first time, YES  :lol:  but as one becomes more proficient at the models, the speed of making them increases.

Again I can only talk from my own personal experience, when I first sat down to make the cat model... It took me about an hour as I was learning something new, yes it was frustrating at one point and I burst a few balloons (I think it was the paws I was trying to make) however I was so proud of myself when I had finally completed the cat, it sat on my desk for a couple of weeks till it had become a deflated mess lol. It still takes me longer than 5 minutes to make the cat (about 10 minutes now) but when I do make one, the result from the clients makes it all worth while. (I'd like to point out here that I don't spend 10 minutes making models when I'm working at events. Most of the larger models are pre-made and taken to the event and assembled there)

I would PUBLICLY like to say a huge THANK YOU to you and everyone else who take the time and effort to share their wonderful creativity and knowledge with the rest of us.

As to replying to the email sender, A polite reply that I would send would be along the lines of:
Thank you for your insightful email. Due to the nature of the product purchased and intellectual copyright laws, it is not *insert name of company* policy to issue refunds especially after such a long length of time has elapsed.
We are genuinely sorry that you feel this way about our product and would recommend *insert product recommendation and where to get it*  which is aimed at the beginner balloon twister.
Thank you once again for your feedback, it is important to us

i just have to give you my support, as others have done so far.
i feel the person ,( like everyone else,) is a twat, and no one should ever sent an email in such a manner.
I believe you have spoken to Graham, if you do not want to personaly name and shame. maybe Graham can , and if a member of the form he can PM the person, warning of their inapropiate attitude and delete them from this forum.

sorry to say, but i am going to look out your dvds, as not been on my list till now, such Great reviews, from the Real twisters on the forum.

     Being an owner of an obscene amount of instructional material, many of which I no longer look at, yours are tops!  A large part of my restaurant repertoire is made up of your designs.  Furthermore, the quality and number of designs contained in your volumes makes them a great deal!
   Do not be discouraged by one ignorant bully and by no means should you refund his money.

I am in total agreement with everyone, you are fantastic and an inspiration. Please keep up the great work.
Unfortunately there is always an unsavoury character in all walks of life as was proved here recently, I've found best way is to ignore them and keep doing what you know is a good job.

Using a combination of the suggested replies you all have sent me, I am about to inform the "gentleman" (wish I had the nerve to use Rhian's term for him!) that I will not be refunding his money. It will be a professional and polite response even if that is not how I feel towards him!

Tell you what Twistina, this T..w (his official name now) has done you a service.  I think its really cool that his nasty attitude will be backfiring on him.  I cant see anything other than more sales coming from this. Anyone coming on this forum who has not bought you instructions will think "well people really seem to like her stuff, I better see what they are like"  Excellent!!!   Now Twistina, are you sure this isnt a bublicity stunt?  typo intended and question a joke of course.
