I Pay £35 a year for a bronze package, It's the same sort of directory, but in Entertaniers-uk you can have a free listing or go for a Gold or platinum package. are you with children parties shows, if so dose it work?

I think this depends on where you are based.  I have the free listing on UK-entertainers from which I have had a couple of queries but no actual jobs from.  They also have a sister site for face painters on which I have paid for an ad and have not even had one query from.  I think this is more to do with the fact that round here there is a lot of entertainers whose websites appear before UK-entertainers do so people would go there first.

i am on uk entertainers and it is my second biggest provider for bookings.
i have only a free listing at the moment but i am considering upgrading to gold to get a link to my website from it.

I put a listing on most free ad sites that I find. even if they aren't specific entertainment sites.  I got a few bookings from freeindex.co.uk and it is one of the sites that has the biggest click through rate to my website.  I like the fact you can list your services and put up to 20 pictures on there.
It was well up the search listings too.

the childrensparty.co.uk site graeme mentions isn't very popular down here, if you click on devon you get 4 entertainers, all from outside the area. I looked at it once but wasn't impressed.

You'll also find that the UKL entertainers often appears in searches, but childrensparty.co.uk doesn't come up often.

I have a silver listing with UK entertainers which brings in a few enquiries, however none of these are a substitute to having you own website, and a website is no good unless it's well designed, eye catching  can be found easily, especially on Google.

Type in Entertainer, plymouth on google and you'll see me and billy  in the top few. This is what you want to aim for. I sometimes get more enquiries via my website than I do by phone.
