Why?

With us it depends on what we are booked to do:

Most of the time with mix and mingle we try to get 15 minutes in the hour as break ( it has always been an agency term that acts work 45 minutes in the hour for agencies we worked for in the past) so we try to get the same - on the day its a matter of trying to get away usually, but you need to factor in tea breaks and toile tbreaks in any day you book.

Longest time depends on your energy levels and what you feel is good for you, you will get tired, your voice will get hoarse with talking all the time (YES Graham even ME) your hands will get sore ( you need to go and wash them regularly to remove the chalk) and cream them to keep the skin soft (even the boys!!), and if you are stuck in one spot your back and legs ache (OR is that an age thing?)

I'm the same as Dave.  Longest is 7 hours with a half hour break after about 3 hours.  If it's anything under 3 hours, I don't break at all.

I only ask, because I did 2 really long days one weekend (9 hours per day, but only twisting for 6 hours) It was really busy and full on the whole time, and really knackered me! I had an hour long queue!

I have been doing corporate balloon modeling, and magic, but one of the gigs I do I tend to be ballooning for about 8 hours, and its for 2 days, so 16 hours over 2 days. Its hard work, and I end up with dry hands, but worth it  :D

An hour long queue in a lot of jobs we do is not unusual - I always tell parents little ones have no patience unless queuing for either a balloon or their face painted then they will wait for as long as it takes and that can be 2 hours!!

and Yes I quite often get asked Do you get tired doing this? Are your hands sore at the end of the day? and my answer is always YES and my throat is sore from all the talking:

Jordan a quick tip re the dry hands I use Nivea simple non greasy moisturiser it works really well takes a few seconds to put on, and unlike other ones I can twist again in a few seconds. I will take a picture of a pot latter so you can see it. I would defiantly say it is worth a try.
When it comes to the day I arive at the pearly gates I hope to slide in sideways saying to st Peter WOW!!! what a ride.
