Decided to have a go at this, a nice long time in the saun?? What could be better?  ;)

Duly arrived and found a load of 17 year olds with no talent, and no idea! They were being given outrageous ideas like "you must get 3 minutes from a breakaway wand"

I watched as one girl spent 15 mnutes or longer, trying to tell a story about a frog prince involving 1 change bag and 3 silks. This she managed to screw up and get them out in the wrong order!

needless to say I didn't get the job, as it was obvious they wanted talentless children for their "corporate" image!!

(no sour grapes here!)  :(

For £300 -£350 a week thats all they're going to get.

If I was single without responsibilities it would be a cheap holiday and a nice oppertunity to see the world, but as a serious full time entertainer the money is rubbish. I get that for a day at a carnival here in Devon.

We sometimes get phone calls from agents working for brittany ferrys, they want someone to perform 30 minute shows 3-4 times a day 6 days a week on the ferrys for a mere £300 a week and wonder why we don't take them up on it.

This £300 a week seems to be the going rate for those type of bookings _ oneof our corporate clients has gone down that route ( young untalented, but willing to live on site in vdery old tatty caravans, hey but you can have an adventure!!!!) - but also has been for years: a friend of ours who has entertained in Ibiza for about 15 years sed to get £300 a week as a camp host before he went.

When we where in the Carribean a few years back the 'entertiners' seemed to be on duty from Dawn to very late everyday - if you break it down the hourly rate is total rubbish

I know its not great money, its about Equity minimum. However if you are starting out you'd get a fantastic experience.

And that is why I posted. It might be just perfect for someone out there!
