Right I am still very new to all of this and am getting very close to starting up with a separate website for twisiting but I have no idea of how to set up my charges.

I have spoken to a few locals and have decided on my hourly rate which is great but do those of you that are established charge your hourly rate regardless of how long you are booked for? or do you charge less for subsequent hours after a certain length of time? or do you have day rates for anything over say 4 hours?

Also if a corporate client wishes to book for more than one event do you discount then as well and if so by how much (%)

Sorry for all the questions but like I say I am new and nothing sounds more unprofessional than someone who has no idea what they are charging  ;)

Smiggle

I have an hourly rate - and the time charged includes my traveling etc to and from the venue - minimum charge two hours

I do have a slightly lower rate for gigs over 4 hours and a day rate - I also charge a premium for any gig which continues after midnight, which is more relevant for my disco than for balloon twisting gigs.

If I get booked for a series of events I will negotiate a flat rate package dependent on the type of gig, timings etc -  the rate depends on lots of things - for instance I did a series of 6 shows for one venue but I didn't need to strip down my kit and set up every night so the rate was lower - another series of shows I did was all at different venues - more traveling more time setting up etc = higher price per show.
C\'mon Let\'s twist again...
