I decided to go with the sausage dog for this month,
the elephant and tweety pie are on the back burner for another time.

I will be posting the step by step instructions later on this afternoon.

This is what you need to make the sausage dog,
1, 350 mocha
1, 260 mocha
1, 260 black
1, 260 white
2, 160 mocha

you could make the legs from 260's as I did in the variations that are posted here,
sausage-dog-t10479.html

I will add a few spares into the complimentary packs that are sent out with orders.

Here we go then with the instructions, I only came up with this design on Thursday,
so four days ago so I expect it might develop a little more as time goes by.

I have made it to explain in mocha but I think I prefer it made from chocolate brown,
chocolate brown is difficult to take pictures with so that is why I went with mocha.

There are a few variations on the design already posted on the forum here,

sausage-dog-t10479.html

one with 260 for the legs and feet, 260 for the tail and some other little variations.
Also the main part of the head in 260 rather than a 350.

Inflate the 350 leaving 5 fingers un-inflated, now this I think is a good tip.

You need two 1.5 finger bubbles at the tip of the 350, this is always difficult to do............so
make a 3 finger bubble and then roll the knot down back towards the lip and then split this 3 finger bubble in half,
giving you the two 1.5 finger bubbles.

I tied these in place just to take the picture.

Tie the lip of the balloon around the second twist, then make the two bubbles into pinch twists.
I pull the knot over the centre of the two bubbles while turning one of the bubbles as well.

You can just make two separate pinch twists,
I prefer the first way as you get two even and the same pressure in both pinch twists.

You then need two 2 finger bubbles and twist the balloon back into the two pinch twists.

That is the nose section for the dog done, we will add the nose later.

The head of the dog, I have done a 7 finger bubble, you may like it shorter or longer.

I then have a 2 finger pinch twist followed by a four finger bubble and then a 3 finger pinch twist.
This pinch twist will hold the neck and head off the dog upright and the front legs wrap around this section later.

You then need a 5 finger bubble at the other end of the balloon, I have just tied this into place for the picture.

You then need a 2 finger pinch twist in the 5 finger bubble so leaving a 3 finger bubble for the end of the dog.

Your 350 should look a little like this.

Inflate a 160 leaving 5 fingers un-inflated, make a 4 finger fold twist, (this is an 8 finger bubble)

Make a 2 finger pinch twist followed by a 3 or 4 finger bubble, then another 2 finger pinch twist.

Then make another 4 finger fold twist for his other rear foot,

Place the two feet under the 350,
you then wrap the 160 snugly over the top of the 350 and over to the other pinch twist.

On mine this was approx. an 8 finger bubble.

The spacer bubble under the 350 I said can be either 3 or 4 fingers, depending on what look of the feet to body you require.

Save the excess of this 160 for the tail of the dog, you need between a 10/12 finger bubble.

The tail can fit in above or under the pinch twist, what do you prefer?

Make the front legs the same as the rear legs.

Inflate a 260 leaving approx. 4/5 fingers un-inflated, wrap the knot around the 2 finger pinch twist.

Then make a 4 finger bubble followed by a 2/3 finger pinch twist.

Then make another 4 finger bubble and wrap this back into the 2 finger pinch twist.

Go back up to the top of the head pinch twist with another 4 finger bubble.

We now have to make the ears, these can be either a 8/9 finger bubble.
Make two of these and then wrap the 260 back around the top pinch twist.

Make your last 4 finger bubble, you should have four now and deflate the rest of the balloon.

Tie this last 4 finger bubble into the 350 2 finger pinch twist.

Inflate a white 260 for the eyes, attach to the same pinch twist and make a 3 finger bubble,
I like to make the eyes a little smaller than the top of the head section, wrap the balloon around the top pinch twist and ears.

Make you second 3 finger bubble and wrap around the 350 pinch twist. Discard the rest of this balloon.

Pull the ears over the front face section and into place.

It does look a little donkey like here to me.

I like to put a little shock twist into the front 350 section of the head to give a little shape.
