Tonya McNeil has kindly agreed for the geo dragon to be model of the month, Tonya has a few DVD's/CD's out and I will find out if these instructions are on one of her published discs.
There is another geo dragon on this link; geo-dragon-t3057.html (http://balloonchat.co.uk/geo-dragon-t3057.html)
This is Tonya's portfolio page; http://twistedcrittersnmore.balloonhq.com/ (http://twistedcrittersnmore.balloonhq.com/) and website http://www.twistedcrittersnmore.com/ (http://www.twistedcrittersnmore.com/)
Really very creative and nice work. Congratulations Tonya!
Thanks Leslie :-). And no, the instructions for that one was supposed to be on the "Blossom Bodies" DVD, but unfortunately it was cut due to time constraints. Thanks for using it as the model of the month Graham. I can't wait to see other versions of it :-)
Nice work !!! so cute !! ;)
I just had to register to post my re-creation of Tonya's Geo Dragon! I have her Blossom Bodies and have to say that her directions are clear, easy to follow, and very fun! (I love the frog the best!) So, thank you, Tonya, for this bonus idea! I really love it!
And that dune buggy is adorable too!
How do we get the instructions? Never tried model of the month but have just ordered my geo blossoms today!!
The idea is you attempt the model with no instructions as sometimes it's a good learning curve, you sometimes come up with a different way to end up with the same result. At the end of the month I will add the instructions to the forum, good luck and have fun.
That's a great idea! Can't wait to try!
There are also another 28/29 model of the month to try as well if your keen, they will have the instructions up but you could not look at them before you try to make the model.
Thank you Carolsue for registering and joining in....and thanks for the compliments. Your dragon turned out very cute :) I'm glad you like the Blossom Bodies DVD. I think the frog is my favorite too ;)
Ok, so people went crazy for the dragon, so I had to make a more boy friendly color. I made the Geo's a bit smaller, and put a pinch twist in between the feet, and I remembered the raisin in the Geo this time, even though you can't tell from the picture.
It's a little different, but I think it has it's own personality.
Thank you again for the idea, Tonya!
Carol
You are very welcome...I think it looks great! I really like it in green :-) Thanks for sharing it.
Hi
I was one of the lucky ones and got the instruction before, but even then I found it a challenge. All I had was white Geo's left.
Thanks For sharing the design Tonya it's excellent!! :D
Andy
You're welcome Andy. I like your dragon's big googly eyes :-) nice job!
It's the eyes that have stumped me!
psst...try either a 5" round (small bubble turned into 2) or 2-350 pinch twists and attach them from the back of the head to the front then lock twist them ;)
If only I had some GEO'S...
Improvise with possibly a 350/360 triangle for the head section and a five sided 350/360 for the body, just a thought!
Well.
I did think of using 2, 6" hearts for the head and mouth, a 360 for the body etc..
But I thought that would be taking it away from the point of using geo's.
But if it's alright with the "latex godess Tonya" then I will have a go. :D
Kenny!!
LOL...Kenny you crack me up
I would LOVE to see your design you come up with substituting other balloons for the geo! that way if I happen to not have geos handy...I'll know another way to make it ;)
Ok. Here is my attempt. The back of the head was a bigger fuller heart shape, But the time I got round taking the picture it had deflated slightly :( .. one of those slient deflations :D
But I suppose for a first attempt it turned out ok in the end. :D
that's a cute little dragon...I like the added nostrils..nice touch :-)
Yes very nice, I must try and make one with the 350/360 triangle shape that I said about.
Here is my version without geos. I used hearts for the head, and a 350 for the body. Had to do the eyes slightly different. Next time I would probably use just a poof of air in the eyebrows instead of inflating them. It's not as nice/clean from the back either. The back of the head is the 4 lobe bubbles.

Hi Tonya.
Nice green dragon.
Will try and add the instructions that Tonya has kindly sent me later on tonight. I need to resize/cut them etc as they are in a pdf document.
Tonya Kindly sent over the instructions in word but I'm none the wiser, I've printed out the pdf files and then taken pictures of each step, then cut to size in photo shop and then re-sized the pictures in Irfanview. Probably long winded but I do eventually get there.
I may need to take the pictures again as these were taken late in the day and the light was not too good
Just trying plan B for copying the instructions, fingers crossed!

what's the matter with it Mick? I think it looks GREAT! I don't always do that one in pink...I've used green, purple and yellow also. Pink just happened to be the first color I pulled out of the bag that day...lol.
Your red one is a very nice variation :-)
Great design:D I will have to get some geo's and give it a try!
Thank you Tonya! :)
Hi Guys, How about this for a first attempt at the dragon? I really like this design, thanks!
