Post by: Graham Lee on November 28, 2015, 07:10:29 PM
The competition is a little thank you to those that buy product from us,
we send out the balloons to make the angel in with the orders in a complimentary pack.
All that enter go into the draw to win a balloon modelling DVD,
If you do not buy from us then no worries, please still enter just for fun. Hope the model is of help to a few.

The December competition with complimentary packs going out in all orders will be for the angel.
I decided on the gold for the hair and halo, I just thought it looked right.

I will post the instructions this week.

I have been trying out a few different hair designs, wanted to go with something that was not too difficult and just used the one 160 balloon.
I have it sorted now so will post instructions hopefully tomorrow.

More rounded at the top, not 100% certain what looks the best, I will let you decide..........see pass the buck.

And with a white background.

BEFORE WE START, THE 160 METALLIC, PRE STRTCH THIS TO MAKE SOFT
Hold the metallic 160 between your thumb and forefinger and pull the balloon and through your fingers,
this warms the balloon up and makes it just like an other balloon to use.

The instructions for the fairy, inflate a blush 321 to approx. 5 fingers inflated.
Fully inflate the 6" white heart and tie the two together, cut od the excess from the knots.

Inflate a 160 gold metallic, I have made the hair in yellow and also white before but I think I prefer the gold look.
Leave 6 fingers un-inflated on the 160 gold, make a 3 finger fold twist and wrap the knot through the gold twist a couple of times to secure.

Twist a 1 finger pinch twist, then a 3 finger bubble and two more 1 finger pinch twists.

The top of the head attaches to these two pinch twists, make a 6 finger bubble and then a 1 finger pinch twist.
The next bubble is a spacer bubble from the back of the hair to the neck of the angel, where the 321 is tied to the 6" heart.

You now need another 1 finger spacer bubble back to the pinch twist.

Then make a 6 finger bubble back to the two pinch twists at the top of the head, where her halo is held up.

Then you need a 5 finger bubble back to the lower pinch twist,
by having this bubble a little shorter it pulls the two 6 finger bubbles out a little for a more pleasing look for the back of the head

Then make a 7 finger bubble followed by a 1 finger pinch twist and then a 2 finger pinch twist, this will be the centre of the front of the angel's hair.

We then need a small spacer bubble, less than 1 finger from these two pinch twists to the two pinch twists that hold the halo up.

Then you need another small spacer bubble the same size as your first one and twist this into the front of her hair which was a 1 finger and a 2 finger pinch twist.

You then need the last 7 finger bubble and discard the rest of the 160 gold, tie this into the back of the head at the lower pinch twist.

Hopefully the hair looks a little like this?

Inflate the 160 white leaving 3 fingers un-inflated,
make a 2 finger pinch twist and then wrap the 160 around under the neck section and back to the 2 finger pinch twist.

My bubble for this was approx. a 6 finger, wrap this into the 2 finger pinch twist.

Make a 7/8 finger bubble for the arm, it needs to be a little longer than you think,
then twist two 2 finger pinch twists for the hands.

Make a 7/8 finger bubble to match the first arm and twist this into the back of the head at the 2 finger pinch twist on the white 160.

Push the air to the end of the white 160 and make a 2 finger bubble, twist this into the 2 finger pinch twist.

Split the remainder of the 160 into half for each of the wings.

Now the choice to finish the wings is up to you, they can be left as they are, two oval loops,
shaped into triangles or split with the rounded section at the top of the wing or at the bottom as in the first picture
I posted on this thread.

Glad you will be using it Clare,
I'm sure when you make it a couple more times the wings will look larger and the hair will be made from one 160.

Clare Goble posted a 15" heart version on facebook so I thought it would be nice to upscale it.
I made the 6" version to compare.

For the larger angel I used the 15" heart, a 6" quick link for the face,  two 260 gold for hair,
160 gold for halo and front of hair, 260 for arms and a 160 for the wings.

Hello

Thanks for the add - I'm new to this group but thought I'd give this months comp a whirl! I used a 5" quick link for the head and improvised on the hair a bit, so I hope it still counts!?

My entry, I made the arms a little too long so the wings ended up a little small, I'll give it another go tomorrow.

Here's my go. I have to admit that not having been around recently, I didn't know that the step by step directions were put up by Graham, so I just made mine from the picture on the front of the very helpfully supplied pack with my last order. It was made slightly different to the directions given but the outcome is fairy close (Do you see what i did there? ;) )
