We are going with an Elf Wand for the Model of the Month for December.

The Elf on the left the hat is a 10 finger bubble and then 5 finger bubbles.
The Elf on the right the hat is a 8 finger bubble and then 4 finger bubbles.

I will explain all in the instructions but do what size you like the look of the hat.
I prefer the one on the right, the smaller hat.

In the complimentary packs of balloons with orders this month will be the balloons to make the Elf.
Please have a go even if you do not purchase balloons and accessories from us.
The instructions are below, we are striving to improve our art.....................

As I said above I prefer the hat to be 8 fingers and 4 fingers but the
pictures and instructions I have done for a 10 finger and 5 finger.

Inflate the 350 lime and leave 3 fingers un-inflated. Make a 10 finger
bubble followed by a 5 finger bubble and a 2 finger pinch twist.

Make another 5 finger bubble back to the top section of hat.

Then make the last 5 finger bubble back to the pinch twist.
You can do a bird body roll through to secure the three bubbles in place.

Inflate the blush 260, leaving a 4/5 finger un-inflated.
Make a 3 finger bubble followed by a 1 finger pinch twist.

Then another 3 finger bubble followed by another 2 finger pinch twist.
Wrap the blush around the 350 lime and tie the knot of the
balloon securely into the second large pinch twist.

Make a 6 finger bubble and wrap this at the back of the head section
and twist it back into the first large pinch twist.

Make a 4 finger bubble and then a second 4 finger bubble and
secure into the opposite pinch twist.

Make an 8 finger bubble for the lower mouth section and twist into the
opposite pinch twist again. You should have enough balloon left on
the 260 blush to make a 2 finger bubble for the nose.

If the 260 was not long enough either use a separate balloon or before you
inflate the blush 260 pre stretch it so the balloon becomes 4/5 fingers longer.

Attach the nose bubble to the 1 finger pinch twist in centre of face.

Inflate the white 260 to 8 fingers, make a 4 finger bubble and twist this
under the centre of the two 4 finger bubbles at the top section of the face.

Tie the two 4 finger eye bubbles together and slip the nose
and pinch twist between the eyes to secure them in place.

Inflate the 160 blush approx. half way.
Make a 5 finger fold twist and secure this around one of the
two 2 finger pinch twists.

Make a 6 finger bubble, run this along at the back of the head
and twist around the other 2 finger pinch twist.

Make another 5 finger fold twist and secure this around the pinch twist.
Discard the rest of the 160 blush balloon.

Inflate the red 160 leaving 5 fingers un-inflated.
Make two 1 finger pinch twists, wrap the 160 around the top of the
face section snuggle and twist back into the two pinch twists.

Snap of the rest of the 160 but leave inflated to use for the next part of the hat.

You need an 8 finger bubble tied at the bottom of the 10 finger hat
bubble and a 6 finger bubble in the red 160, securely tie these as
they will be under pressure when the top of hat is put in place.

You could have two 1 finger pinch twists between the 8 and 6 finger bubbles but
without I think the hat looks a little neater but its easier to do with pinch twists.

The 260 white you used for the eyes, use the end of the balloon and make
a 3 finger bubble for the top of the hat. You could use a separate 5 inch
white for the end of the hat but we are being frugle, cost effective.

Push the white 260 through the 6 finger bubble then shock twist the
350 so the hat curves a little giving more of an Elf hat shape.

Adjust ears by shock twisting these as well a little into shape.
Add artwork for the eyes.

Does the lower section of Elf look like the mouth or do you need to draw this on?

Its up to you, I think I might slightly sway into drawing it on?
Not 100% sure yet,
once I make a few times in the real world we might have our answer.

Good luck if you do attempt to make the Elf,
it also doubles as a sword if you hold the 10 finger top hat bubble.

The balloon on the left is the 10 finger and 5 finger hat and the one on the
right the 8 finger and 4 finger hat. The wand section would also be a little
taller if you went with the smaller hat

I have posted some Christmas wands on another thread here on Balloon Chat.

The Elf & Father Christmas wand are all made with 350's so up scaled a little.
