Trying to get a few more interested in joining in with the model of the month, so the choices for Jan are;
Scooter
Selection of Handbags
Road Runner
Unicycle
Drum
Violin
Baby
Girl
Small Unicorn
Rabbit
the Girl or the Road Runner gets my vote
The baby or the girl
Roadrunner or Handbags for me ;)
Hi Graham,
Howabout a unicorn with a baby girl on a unicycle playing a violin and banging a drum ?
I'd definately join in then!
Happy new year everyone!
Danny ;)
I'll go along with what ever ;)
I was going to put a poll up, but not sure how to do it. Any Idea's???
Can you do that on here? On FPC it is an option as you start a new thread but I have had a look and I can't see an option for it :?
Thanks Yvonne, I'll have a look behind the scene to see if I can change the setting.
Edit*** I was able to do this via admin only, so if anyone wants to have a poll on anything?Perhaps we can have a poll on deciding if we should have polls
Thought I'd better get that in before Danny :)
Hi Graham,
the poll is not working - not sure why.
edit : it comes up "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again."
Danny :)
Just spent the last half hour trying to rectify the problem but with no luck, even went to the phpbb forum to search their database but no luck so far.

I am new to your forum, but I will try whatever you select.
I am more inclined towards Baby's or motorcycles though.

Simply Shonna
I will go with baby as my colleague at work is due to be a Daddy today :o so it will be good to make one for him :D
I say : girl
I vote for the girl. Can't wait to see what wins ... all the choices are excellent.
When are we going to get the model Graham?
Should be a bumper month... :D I vote for the baby again!
I'll add all the votes up on the 7th
I vote for handbags.
Danny
Cheers Danny. I think these would be great for adult events and when you have teenage girls loitering.
ooh Handbags for me to please.
I do a flat weave one, but alternative options would be good.
Last day to vote, scores so far are;
Girl 4
Roadrunner 2
Baby 4
Handbags 3
So it's pretty tight and anyone could win.
Hi all,
I vote for Road Runner.
Hi

Handbags
I'm taking my balloons home unless it is the baby
Things are hotting up..........not long to go,

Yes Graham it is a word :D you have also spelt it correctly
It is the adverb of the adjective Democratic :o of which one meaning (the correct one pertaining to this topic) is 'in accordance with the principle of equal rights for all'
Hope that helps
Btw I still vote for a baby
I'd like to vote as Danny Admin for Handbags
;)
handbags
Voting is over and the final score was;
Handbags 6
Girl 4
Baby 4
Road Runner 3
I do have some more handbags but my main computer died over the new year and they are coming with the new one tomorrow with all my files/pictures etc, I'm working from my laptop and donr =t know my way around it to well. Luckerly my hard drive is OK but I also upload onto a seperate hard drive as well so they tell me I have lost no files. So I'll see if I can find one or two more to post when the new computer comes with windows 7 on tomorrow.
The Wife will be happy, More handbags
Yes, my wife has more than a few kicking around the house too - PLENTY of inspiration!!
I'll join in and give this a bash over the weekend.

My new computer has turned up :D and it's super fast. Just need to work my way around windows 7.
Found this other handbag;
All the excitement of deciding the model and now no takers? Anyone have there own handbag design?
I'd be very happy to make the baby...
I've been way-laid  but I'll be on the case in the next day or two...
--Neil
Graham I will have a go but at the moment with this blimmin snow my very limited free time and my work time have disappeared. I am hoping to give it a go next week provided we don't get more snow.
I am so sorry  I thought once the model was chosen you would start a new topic  so was waiting to see what won, will give a go today :)
8-)
:D
Here it is....

Nice handbags Andrew and Neil.
Graham would it be a good idea if you only gave instructions only if at least 5 people tried to make it by the end of the month?
Made this last night at a 21st.
Well here's my go.Handbag.jpg[/attachment:f1d0wi97]
Here we go with my attempt :D
I was trying to make a new handbag for this thread but it failed dismally. However, as is my want I sat and looked at the shambles I had and saw the potential for a butterfly. So here is the reslut.
very cool butterfly Thelma! Don't you just love it when one thing turns into something else...lol! very fun :)
Ditto to Tonya's comment. Love the butterfly
I have to admit it happens a lot. If I didnt sit and turn my failures around for a while I wouldnt have half the models in my collection that I have, So.... I still have to make a bag....
Here is my go at the handbag - its a little too dark... sorry
Following the fantastic care and share day part 2 in Banstead here is my rendition of the Croft Calzone fold (you had to be there) handbag.
It even opens and closes and you can put things in it :D :o
Professor.. I would love to know how you did that one.. :D
Here come the instructions;
Start by inflating the three 260 balloons to have 4 fingers un-inflated, on the model I have made here to explain the bottom of the bag is in white with a 4 finger bubble for the width and the sides are 6 fingers. In the original pink one I posted the bottom bubbles are 3 finger and sides 5 fingers as I had seven layers for the pink bag and only six for the demo bag.
I have made all the balloons in different colours for ease of instructions/to follow
Twist a 4 finger bubble followed by a 1 finger pinch twist (you could leave out the pinch twists in the demo and add in a contrasting colour as in the pink bag) Add the second balloon to the pinch twist and twist a 6 finger side bubble followed by a 1 finger pinch twist, add the last balloon around the second pinch twist and twist a 6 finger bubble followed by the last 1 finger pinch twist. The 4 finger bottom bubble should be softish as you need to attach the handle here later.
Then twist a 1 finger bubble in one of the side bubbles (green balloon in demo) then a 6 finger side bubble, hold onto this twist while twisting a 1 finger bubble into the next side balloon (Lilac in demo) and then twist this bubble around the green 6 finger bubble.
You then need to twist a 6 finger bubble in the Lilac side balloon and hold onto this while twisting a 1 finger bubble into the bottom white balloon and twisting them together. Twist a 4 finger bubble into the white balloon and thread this behind and through the very first 1 finger bubble you made with the green balloon. This finishes off the second layer, although the picture shows three layers complete.
Before the next layer (4th row) the top 1 finger bubble between layer three and four needs to be two half of one finger bubbles as this is where the catch of the handbag will be twisted in later (You could just make a softish 1 finger bubble and twist this in two later when you add the catch)
If making the bag smaller as in the pink bag with seven rows the catch would fit into a different position and the above twist is not required.
Repeat the above till all six layers are twisted together, dont forget to make the last row of 1 finger bubbles into pinch twists and the last bottom row softish as you need to twist this in half to attach the handle.
Adding the handle, inflate a 160, leaving 3 fingers uninflated. Twist a 1 finger pinchtwist and secure around middle of the white (bottom) balloon, twist a 4 finger bubble and attach around the top pinch twist. The handle in the picture is six hands, 24 finger bubble and twist the balloon around the top pinch twist at the other end of the bag. Then twist a 4 finger bubble followed by a 1 finger pinch twist.
Attach the pinch twist around the bottom (White) balloon. As in the picture you can see the two outer bottom bubbles push out when the pinch twists are attached, to over come this thread the rest of the 160 through the centre of the bag, pull the two outer bubles together and twist the 160 around the pinch twist at the other end of the bag.
There are quite a few variations for the handbag catch, a nice simple one is to Inflate a second 160 or you may have enough from the first 160 balloon if you leave a shorter handle.
Twist a 2 finger bubble followed by two, 1 finger pinch twist and then the second 2 finger bubble. Attach the two pinch twists around the centre top softish 1 finger bubble that you left between row three and four.
