I'm a little late with getting this months model of the month ready. I was torn between two designs plus have had a few
busy'ish days for me. So we are going with the Koala design for this month. Will try to add the tutorial ASAP.

So in with all the orders this month we will have the complimentary pack of balloons if you wanted to try the design,
Be nice to see everyone having a go at making the Koala, would be nice to see.

Here we go then with the step by step for the Koala tutorial design.

Inflate the Grey 260 leaving 6 fingers un-inflated,
make a 3 finger, 4 finger and another 3 finger bubble for the head section and tie together.

You then need two 4 finger bubbles, a 1,5 finger bubble and two more 4 finger bubbles
for the Koala's body. Wrap the 260 around and under the head section.

Twist the 1.5 finger bubble into a pinch twist.

Make a 5 finger bubble for the rear body and twist this into the lower pinch twist.
Then make another 5 finger bubble and twist this under the head section.

You then need a 1.5 finger bubble twisted into a pinch twist for the rear head support.

Leave a 4 finger bubble and deflate the rest of the Grey 260.

Inflate the Ivory 260 to about a 10 finger bubble, tie this around the pinch twist and make a 5 finger bubble for
the front section of the body and then a 1.5 finger bubble pinch twisted for the lower nose/mouth section.
Securely tie this around the lower head section.

Push the pinch twist up into the body to hide.

Make a 4 finger bubble in the Black 260 and tie off the other end so making for a firmer bubble.
Tie one end to the Grey 4 finger bubble, leave the excess balloon at both ends.

Push the Black 260 through the head of the Koala and tie securely around the two pinch twists at the lower head section.

Inflate the Grey 160 leaving 8 fingers un-inflated, tie this around the two pinch twists as well.
Make a 3 finger bubble and a 1 finger pinch twist. Push the pinch twist through the twist of the 260 between the 3 and 4 finger bubbles.

For the ears I have done on this Koala a 3 finger and 1 finger bubble and twisted back around the pinch twist.
(On other Koala designs I did make a 4 finger and 1.5 finger bubble, so perhaps see what size you prefer)

Make a 4 finger bubble and another 1 finger pinch twist and secure around the other ear placement joint.

Make a 3 finger and 1 finger bubble for the other ear and twist the balloon around the pinch twist.
Then you need another 3 finger bubble and tightly secure around the two pinch twists.

Deflate the rest of the 160 but leave a long excess as I like to tie this all the way around the head
to make a more compact head section. I think this makes the Koala more... cuter possibly, he he.

Picture 21 is before we secure the un-inflated around the Koala's head.
The 160 also helps to get a very tight joint from the head and body of the Koala.
Which I feel helps with the overall look.

I like to feed the un-inflated 160 through the body of the Koala to start, this helps to tighten the head and body section together.

So push the ear of the Koala down towards the body as you stretch the 160 tightly around the first ear pinch twist.
Going from one ear to the other don't stretch the 160 so much as the Koala does have a wide forehead section, attach around the pinch twist.
Then the second pinch twist push this down towards the body while stretching the 160 tightly down towards the body.
Here I like to thread the un-inflated 160 through the body of the Koala to tighten the head/body section.

Picture 22 is after we have stretched the 160 balloon around the ears and head.

Inflate the Black 260 making two 1 finger bubbles. Leave a little excess between each eye section.
Push one eye under the Black nose section and manipulate into position.

When making the Koala before I have used the excess where we tied the back of the head and Black nose together.
And pulled one side of the excess around one ear and the other side of the excess around the other ear.
Then push the excess out of site into the back of the head section.

Hopefully your Koala will be looking a little like this.
