The bird on the perch will be the model of the month for May.
Will see if I can sort the instructions out over the Bank Holiday weekend.

This will be in all the complimentary packs that we send out with orders for May. Possibly different colours as the
world wide balloon shortage is still a problem, but with enough balloons so you can practise the design.
I will post the step by step tutorial tomorrow.

Here we go then with the instructions for the Bird on the Perch.

Pre stretch the 260 between your finger and thumb to make it a little longer as you will need to use all the balloon for the Bird.
Inflate the Mocha 260 leaving 6 fingers uninflated, make a 3 finger bubble for the birds front tummy section followed by a 1 finger pinch twist.

Then make a 3.5 finger fold twist for the birds tail.
Make a 5/6 finger bubble for the back of the birds body and a 1.5 finger pinch twist.

Tie the 3 finger bubble tightly around the 1.5 finger pinch twist and then the end of the balloon if long enough
stretch and tie around the pinch twist for the tail of the bird. This holds and secures things a lot better.

You then need a 6 finger and 2 finger bubble for the wing, twist this into the tail pinch twist.

Make a 2 finger and then 6 finger bubble for the other wing and tie into the 1.5 finger pinch twist.

You now need two 3 finger bubbles for the lower head section and twist these back into the 1.5 finger pinch twist.

Make a 4 finger bubble for the top head section and deflate the rest of the balloon.

Pull the excess on the 4 finger bubble and the knot over the two 3 finger bubbles and and underneath
and tie back into the 1.5 finger pinch twist. Make this as tight as possible for a secure fixing.

Inflate the 160 about half way, the legs/feet of the bird are two 3 finger fold twists.
Attach the 160 to the 1 finger pinch twist and make a 3 finger fold twist and secure around the 1 finger pinch twist.
The fold twists have to be large enough to fit a 160 through but snug enough to hold the bird up right.

Make the second 3 finger fold twist and secure around the 1 finger pinch twist.

Inflate part of the 160 again and make a 4 finger bubble, I made a 2.5 finger and a 1.5 finger bubble for
the beak and tied them together. Leave a long excess piece of balloon on both bubbles of the beak.

Push the excess balloon between the two 3 finger bubbles and the 4 finger bubble.

Then take one of the un-inflated section of the balloon and pull this tightly around the 1.5 finger pinch twist
down one side of the head of the bird. Then do the same with the other un-inflated section of the
balloon down the other side of the face and tie really tightly into the 1.5 finger pinch twist.

They must be pulled very tightly for a nice snug secure fit of the beak onto the head of the bird.

Then inflate another section of the 160 making a 3 finger bubble, this is for the eyes.

Twist in half a few times and leave some excess on the balloon so the eyes can be positioned a little when in place.
Then tie the other end together loosely so you can position the eyes better into place.

I did then pinch twist the eyes but you may prefer not to, see what look you prefer.

Push them into place.

Inflate the 160 for the Perch and leave 3 fingers un-inflated, make two 1 finger pinch twists.

Then twist a 16 finger bubble, (fours hands) for one of the sides and a 1 finger pinch twist.

Push the 160 through the birds legs/feet and make a 12 finger bubble, (three hands) and another 1 finger pinch twist.

You then need another 16 finger bubble (four hands) for the other side of the Perch and twist into the two 1 finger pinch twists.
Hopefully you have between a 6 and 8 finger bubble left in the 160 and can make the large fold twist for the handle section of the Perch.
Position the pinch twists one below and one in the middle of the fold twist for the handle.

Add some artwork for the Birds eye.
