Tonya

I just wondered if anyone could recommend a good camcorder/video camera to do instructional videos to put online.

how is the picture and sound quality Danny?  I've actually looked at those and the Sony version that is like that one.  And would it work to also make DVDs?

Hi Tonya,

I forgot to mention they come in HD now too.

The quality is pretty good. You can make DVD's, stills email them, load the videos up to Youtube or websites.

The editing facilities are not comprehensive as its meant for idiots like myself to be easy to use. I think Don Caldwell uses one for all his tutorials on Youtube.

its the size of a mobile phone and very easy to use. You might need to buy a tripod.

I can certainly recommend flip. I use mine for all sorts of things - including web movies and dvds I've produced for people.  I've also used it to record conference clips for a client and I recommend it heartily. The flip was developed for 'the YouTube generation' and it's dead easy to use - just 'point and fire'.

If you have a mac computer, editing and dvd production is a doddle; the software is built in.  If you use a pc you'll need some basic video editing software - unless latest windows has some, I'm a bit out of touch with Windows.

Give me a shout if I can help. If you have movie clip that you would like cut and trimmed, whatever, let me know and I'll do it for you.  Email me the footage or bung it (temporarily) on youtube and I'll get it from there.

Cheers
