Been trying to book the flights for Don coming over, flights from London to LA return are £381 but when I try to book LA to London return the cost is a staggering $980 or £776.
Does any one work or know someone in the travel business and can get some sensibly priced tickets. We need to sort this ASAP,
any help appreciated.

Have tried
delta, continental, ba, united airlines, virgin and KLM

What dates? As they may be dramatically cheaper travelling the day before such as a Tuesday 8-)

Try Air new Zealand Graham - they do regular flights to LA - its the airline Sue Marston Weston reccommended to us when we went out there with the award we won from Qualatex - I remember the flights where very reasonable and the big differnece is ALL their seats are like business class so extra leg room comes as standard

Fingers crossed as I've just found a flight for $575 including taxes.
Phoned & sent details to Don so hopefully he'll book it before it sells out.
It was on the cheap flights that Fairby sent details on.

Awesome price for flight. If I was not book, and had money... lol, I would have LOVED to been able to be there for this event.  Hope you video tape it.

Yesterday, after reading this post, I was listening to the news - they were talking about cheaper flights going from US to UK.... hope you got one of those.

Some of these cheap flights are quite laughable, easy jet to Amsterdam starts at £65 then when you add this & that + extra to take a suitcase  they must be having a laugh. Plus the credit card surcharge you end up at nearly £99.
I was so fed up and annoyed I just booked BA, they tell you the real price & stick to it even though it was £7 more at least they were honest about there charges and didn't try to hide them.

Yes Easy jet does add some extra's but when I came to you it was by far the cheapest one.
All the other ones I was looking at were over 120 euro! And with easy jet I paid 89 euro.
All the cost are clear before you book it, I don't see that as hiding things!

I saw many people traveling without suitcase that time,.....so I think it's smart to let people pay if they want to take one. Other airlines letting you pay for that even if you don't take a suitcase with you.

Just wanted to share that.... :geek:

Yes I agree the prices are displayed on the site fairly clearly except for the credit card surcharge. Why I was having a moan is that if you google cheap flights to Amsterdam easyjet came up at £66 and ba at £102 so obviously the majority of people click through to easyjet and then as you go further with the booking all the extra charges come up but with ba the only add on was the amazing credit charge surcharge,
does anyone know how you pay for a flight without a credit card!!!!
