I get it all the time when I book flights for work Graham - BMIbaby and Flybe are just as bad - you search for the flight and it gives a price of £1.99 to Belfast or Edinburgh going out and£19.99 coming back - by the time various charges and taxes have been added it cost £95.00 return.

Not so bad when the company is paying but I'm taking her ladyship to Northern Ireland for a long weekend for her birthday in a couple of weeks - Giants Causeway, Titanic exhibition etc - Flybe's web site came up with headline prices of £46.00 return each - but the final price was just under £200 total - so we're flying BMI for £95.00 total.
C\'mon Let\'s twist again...

Ryan Air are terrible for add on's.  When we went to Spain last year I looked around for prices and decided never to book Ryan Air again.  Again you get the flights for 99p or something silly, but then you need to add the airport taxes, suitcases (and they have the lowest allowance going) and various other things that pull the flights right up.

I know Easy Jet do add on for suitcases etc but at least you can see all of that before you commit to anything and decide what you want.

Not got this problem for the next couple of years as we will be self-catering in the UK    Heading down to Devon / Cornwall this year so if any of you are based near (probably) Polperro, Looe or Torbay let me know as I am sure the kids would love to see how real twisting is done  ;)

Graham I can sympathise with you on the surcharges.

Spent 2 1/2 days last finding a decent holiday in the sun without the surcharges.

Was getting good places to go but then had to add £90 for extras like booking fee, bag fee etc.

Most of the flights seemed to be with Ryanair which did not seem attractive.

Guess you have heard they want to charge a £1 for a pee on flights!!!

I found a package holiday with everything I want and it was over £100 less.

How do people travel without checking bags?

Most of my wash kit would get confiscated by customs for a start.

Back to the webcam check to the beach.

If your coming down to Devon & Cornwall as well as various carnivals fetes and regattas,  I'll be  at Woodlands Adventure Park near Dartmouth every Tuesday and Thursday through out July and August.

Or you can slum it and go to Pennywell Farm Mon-Wed-Fri and see Billy, he'll be able to tell you any other events he's at.
Yours Funfully
