Hi guys, sorry for the short posts and lack thereof. im not having much luck with keyboards, and usb devices recently.

But too the topic at hand.

I've never bought internationally before and have been looking at T-Myers, they appear to have the greatest range i've found, and if their site is accurate the greatest stock holding.

So has anyone in the UK used them? What are they like? What are their shipping charges like? Delivery times? Customer Service etc?

I am about to contact them with regards to placing a large order, and would like to hear peoples expriences before i go through with it.

Hi Pete,

I have ordered several times from T Myers. I email them with my list of stuff and ask for a shipping price. Then PayPal the full amount to them.

Just to note ~ you will be charged a customs & excise charge on delivery. Last time I ordered 5 DVD's and the charge was £22.

The deliveries always take longer than I want but its worth it.

I recommend them.

I hope this helps,

Danny

I've also used them for DVD's in the past, although I got lucky with customs, I didn't get charged.

I can't fault them, good service, communication and price.

Thanks for your answers so far.

Does anyone know what % import taxes are?

I think import tax is either 22 1/2% or 27 1/2%. Been a while since I've ordered from America

BUT - with the strong pound against the Dollar it is still worth it. Do it now before the pound collapses!!

When we went out to diamond jam convention last Jan we got $2.05 to the pound which made things seem ridiculously cheap, just had a look & it's down to £1.77 to the pound so if you're going to do it be quick.

Hi,

I have bought off tmyers on a few occassions and quality and service is excellent, the main problem is with the duties. I can buy my balloons cheaper in the uk even when the $ was two to one but saved a lot on DVD`s.

Cant you buy your balloons locally??

Regards

Hi Guys thanks for your responses, everyones positive responses means i'd be happy to send them my money, now its just the worry of Tax.

To be honest the strength of the Pound to Dollar isnt a major problem either (although cheaper items obviously appeals), more that if i spend everything i have on items, i wont have anything left to pay the Import duty.

Guess im going to have to do smaller orders over a period of time as oppposed to one large order.

Pete

PS - Thanks for your response Norm, however its not the balloons im interested in, ( live less 20 mins from Mike & Marj at Playtime, and Graham offers free postage so no shortages there)  :D  More the extensive list of DVDs and other items.
