Title: Balloon dress
Post by: Ronballon on January 03, 2009, 10:27:42 AM
Balloon dress,

I have made my daughter a balloon dress.
I'm willing to try a dress for a lady but I do not know how to make the "zipper" on the back of the dress. Does any body know how to do that?
Thanks.

Ronald

Stunning. I love the iridescent colours. Your little girl is an excellent model. Lucky girl - I wish I'd had a ballon artist for a Dad - heaven!

Seeing your dress and others Ron, has inspired me to have a go. Here's my first attempt. Looking forward to trying a different style when I have another spare day and a half ;)

Billy, Can you get this of the manequinn & on someone to model?
Every time I make one I never leave enough clips, space at the back to remove & put onto someone.
It will really come to life if you can get someone to model it for you, how about Emazdad

my neighbours daughter is going to model it tonight. She tried it on a couple of times last night before i got to the bottom section of the dress. i'll post some pics when shes tried it on.

LOL, I'll be gutted if it doesn't fit her after all that work. :)

Nice work Graeme, I think you'd need a few 360's in there before it would fit Clive

Nice weaving on those dresses.  Petra you should enter that in a fashion contest  :P
I am not very patient when it omes to weaving and my bubbles are not so very neat.  But I did have fun with the dress Vicky wore for me.  I did this a few weeks ago but have not been able to do anything muh with the photos till now.  Thios is a photo I have done for my web site.  It is so nice to have my laptop back.  I was making a see through dress but had to abandon it because of the hot weather.  It oxidized too puickly.  I will get some balloon shine and do it when the weather is cooler.  I am definitely feeling the bug though so I will have to think of another dress to make.
