OK ...here we go ..but knackered after yesterday had 3 big parties including the gruffalo, plus the shop was open from 5am!

So here we are. The Gruffalo was about 7' 5" tall to top of horns. 1st picture is taken in the shop, and 2 pictures where they were displayed in the party, with the Owl, Mouse, the snake coming out of the tree (For the snake head I used a scaled up version using 350s from Brian Asmans Lecture BAG 8)... on the last picture my daughter Kerys is in there, to provide an idea of scale on the last photo (shes about 5' 6" tall) she was invaluable on the day making the tree and other stuff.

The display was for a party of a young boy who is autistic, and many of his friends from the special needs school he attends were there as well... they had been reading the Gruffalo all year...

The boys mother phoned to say that she thought it made the entire event magical. :)  that was pleasing.

We all have our cross to bear, but some of us need more wood than others!

Thank you everyone, appreciate all the comments.

Only things I would really change would be the hands (claws were a bit too long) and I may go for Mocha Brown, rather than Chocolate Brown, the main reason I went for Chocolate, was I made the decision to use MOcha on the tree, so I wanted contrast.

There are other things I could improve, but if asked again, I have a recipe and its about that balance between the look and the time it takes (therefore cost!)

Big thank you to David Brenion for such a versatile template on the Masks/Jumbo.. Also its his owl from the hearts and round, just supersized it with a 16" body and 5" eyes! and I really love Brian Asmans snake head, simple but effective.
