I was playing with a dove design today and turning it around as one does I thought it would be a good way to make a butterfly.

Oh, Thelma - that is so pretty! The pearl colours are perfect for it - so delicate and yummy! You say "turning it around as one does" - Bonnie has just been mentioning that she does that too. I never would have thought of doing that - must learn to think more laterally!

Now Graham - don't get Thelma all worried about the background. I'm trying to convince her that she doesn't necessarily have to cut out the background on everything, as she does. It does make her CD look beautiful, but it takes SO MUCH work that could be better put to use designing more balloons. IMHO. ;)

Now, Dave gave a link to a wonderful homemade device for taking nifty, professional looking photos - designed by someone in NZ, of all places.  ;)

I must have a look for that link, because it was a great idea, and I'm going to make that light box for taking pics of my models.

Cheers,

Ha-ha! Did you just notice? Designed by Thelma Levitt, everyone. You too can make a "Kool Kat" like that, if you get Thelma's "Two and a Bit" CD.

Cheers,
Kath 8-)

P.S. Thelma - the cat sits up on its own! Very stably. I love it when models do that!

This is going on my next cd yes.  The flower is like one I did at the balloon jam in Darlington and Graham tells me he has it on his new flowers dvd by coinsidence.  So Graham got there first!!!   The butterfly (Graham will love this) is made from Sempatex 160 pearl balloons.  They are lovely for a delicate look.  I will definitely be putting some more on my next shopping list.  They seem reliable as well.  So far I have had no unexpected pops from them.   Thumbs up from me!!

Sorry to sidappoint you John but I only have one cd out so far and 30 more in the pipeline.!!  Better do more than one per year or I might die of old age before I get to share my work.  If anyone wants a view of what the cd contains I can email the cover page which shows all but three of the models.  That way you can see what you will be purchasing.  If you want to see info about the cd go to http://www.balloonjam.com/thelma/
Hope that helps.

I made a bigger version of this butterfly today. When I say (a) bigger version I mean again and again and again.  Blooming sick of them in  the end.  They were a bit popular to say the least.  To make it with 260 balloons and a 360 head and body it took 3 x 260s, 1 350 and two 160s for the antenne and the arms.  I will download a pic later if I have a good one.
