I was asked about a one balloon butterfly yesterday.  I dont particularly go for one balloon models.  I like ore colour but I dream designed one anyway.  When I say I dream designed one I mean I went to bed and went to sleep and designed it.  I even popped it a couple of times and started again - in my dream.  When I got uo I made it - popped it in exactly the same place as I did when I was dreaming it and ran out of balloon - not what happened in my sleep.  But I tried again and it worked.  I also digressed and made a bug bracelet and a butterfly bracelet.  Anyway of the three models I actually like the bug.  He is messy but cute.

Made these up to test out the new light box I've just bought from maplins that we were talking about on another thread, thought I'd put them here as well;

The yellow & green is made from 260's & the violet & pink from 160's

I like your butterfly thelma!

This is the one I make most of the times, becourse he's so easy and quick, but still has different colours.

I made another new one, using hearts.
But as I haven't seen something like that before, it will be my sectret till TMJ 2008!
It's not spectaculair, but different. I'll show that one after TMJ.

Here is the same butterfly made with 260 balloons instead of 160's.

I just realised that I forgot to post my new heat butterfly after TMJ2008.
So here it is:

And the less fancy one, the one without the 30 minutes of artwork

I was gawking at that butterfly for ages when I saw it at the jam.  It looks amazing on the photo but it looked even more amazing at the jam.  I absolutely love it.  I just saw your number 8 on the first letter last letter and that is so cool.

Petra, that butterfly is absolutely gorgeous!  You are a true artist! :)

Graham, I hadn't really ever checked this site out before you asked me to do the interview.   I love it here.   Thanks for inviting me. :!:

Here is another butterfly I came up with tonight.  It is influenced by Petra.  The apple twist for the head and the bubble after the apple twist is how Petra showed it.  So this is made with two heart balloons.  The Sempertex balloons are great for this because of the extra length.  I dragged the end over the heart below the mid point to make the top of the wind bigger than the bottom.  Then I added the body.  Very quick to do.

Butterfly wings  -  these work best with the Sempertex hearts because they are longer.  Fully inflate the heart and then release the air out of the longer part and you have just a short heart.  Tie the heart directly under the heart shape.  Repeat with another heart making sure they are both the same size.

Tie the ends together
Wrap them into a body
Stretch one of the heart lips over the heart just below the dip and wrap it in on the opposite side.

Repeat with the other heart.
