Upcyclepatch

Here is a thankyou present, I created for a colleague at a volunteer organisation I am involved with to recognize 20 years service. She was very happy with it.  My first attempt at creating any of these and didn't really follow any instructions just sort of winged it as usual.

Very nice indeed!
A few months back I did this flower base (without following any instructions) and was very pleased with the result.

That looks great.  Balloon flowers are so much better than real ones.

Agree that balloon flowers are so much better.

Anna - your vase looks great so nice and straight mine was all a bit twisted!

Had another go today as my two year old wanted her own one and flower after seeing the first - less twisted this time but balloons too tight so rather unfinished at the top - 2 year old wanted it taller apparently and a different colour - typical!!!

Don't worry! Mine too wasn't perfect. Weaves need a bit of practice but once you manage work ing with soft bubbles and take care that every segment in the some row is the same size everything turns out very well :D
For sure your two years old enjoyed his (or hers?) flower vase a lot! ;)

funny thing was I was trying to figure out how you got it to turn like that - lolz - weaving definately takes practice.  I personally love weaving - but alot of people stear away from it when ever possible.

Here's one of my favourite weaving projects.

Love it! I've been trying to do perry the platypus and that has given me some ideas!

Wow - the platypus is amazing, I was going to use word platypus in the Make It game but thought would be too difficult! Seems there is nothing that can't be done with balloons and imagination is only limit.

Thanks, when I got the request for a life size, some what lifelike platapus - I thought the woman was kidding.  However her son is a freak about platapi.  He knows everything you could possible know and he was absolutely thrilled with the result.  It was a challenge to get the right shapes, and the feet were a challenge all their own, but I was pleased with the result.
Keep Smiling!
