I still get requests for the lower intestines every now and then (a la the Mask).  The twists and turns are not in quite the right places here but it gives the idea.  To make 'live' I would use the same blush heart for the stomach but do the intestines in a more comical manner - just a 160 tied up in pretzel within pretzel style knot.

ha ha I'm sure there must be someone that balloon would be good for.  I would like to do the whole 'insides' eventually - sort of like an invisible man.  I did another version of this one with a woven brain on top, the brain had two eyes sticking out on stalks and was based on a brain I made for a client who happens to be a brain surgeon.  I made up areas of the brain and wrote on with a sharpie;  'perception', 'memory', etc.  Then you explain to the audience that the heart is the most difficult of all the parts to make but all you do is blow up a 6" heart and pretend to shape it.

The "lower intestines" Joke originates with Steve Martin and predates 1976. It was in Steve's act for many years and made famous in his album wild and crazy guy. He then revisted the bit in his movie "Parenthood" Where he played Cowboy Gil for his son's birthday.

Oh yes, of course; also ironic infact that the first ever balloon animals were probably made from intestines (as in balloon dogs made by cavemen).
