Hi all,
Found some old hats in my picture archive,
thought they may be useful to someone.
Would be nice to see your variations of these.

Cheers Graham - I like that butterfly one - very simple but looks great!

I love the owl hat. I'm going to give that one a try! I don't have that color of brown but it probably will work with a darker brown.
The eyes are the grey balloon ends as a pinchtwist, correct?

Here are three of my hats (I do lots more) the Sharkhat (design Mike Byrn) and the Swanhat (design Wim Knevel (that's me, lol)) and turtlehat (designed by me too)

Wim,

The owl hat eyes are from a white, I think the picture quality was poor.

Graham, I made the owl hat. So cool and so simple! I made a "triangle " type of hat from Ed Chee and attached the owl.
Tomorrow I will make a picture, if I do it now the flashlight makes it horrible.....
Thanks!

Glad you like it, I think I've only made the owl hat a couple of times
& that was many years ago.

Looking through some more old pictures, came across my
grandson with his sponge bob hat. He kept this on all day
& wouldn't take it off.
The cow hat was done at a care & share day about 2 years ago,
a combined effort by a few people. My friend Colin was very happy to model it for the camera

These are a couple of hats that I found lurking in my hat file.  The  bluebird's head was made using a white upside down heart for the eyes.  It was the original prototype for the bird hats I make today.

The witch hat I designed back in August of 2007 when I was playing around with what could be made using the eneven bird body bubble grouping for heads.  I found the hat to impractical for restaurant work, especially since to complete the look, it needs a hat of it's own.

Impressive hats Bonnie,
I often struggle to keep my hats both practical & impressive.
Keep the good work up & thanks for sharing. ;)

Tip

If YOU are going to wear your creation (for a long time) get a sweat band between your head & the balloon.
