Darren/Graham I agree. Your helicopter has much more detail. I agree with Darren all helicopters have blades, cockpit, rear blade and landing feet!!

Quote from: "Graham Lee"Was this taught at this years Florida Super jam? I was in Nick's class and he spoke about school show's, maybe he showed it in the jam room but I'm sure there would have been a few helicopters laying around and I did not see any. It is similar to the one Antonio showed but what was not mentioned on Antonio's was that the blades actually spun around and there
was movement.
I have to say that I think the helicopter design I came up with is quite a way different from Nick's but maybe that is just me?

Don't know if he shown any one at Florida as wasn't there you would know better then me I can ask him if you want ?

Had another play today with the helicopter, the cockpit is made from a heart.

I have been having another play with helicopters, this time trying to go back to a more simpler design.

A couple of people mentioned to me at the balloon days that a lot of the designs shown
now are not what they would make the real world. So this got me thinking "Back To Basic's"

Which I think might be someone's catch phrase or logo.

So this was the start of the process, a three balloon design.

We then added another 160 red and black to add the extras.

I then had a play at home with the basic helicopter.
Made the blades with just 3 loops rather than individually.
If making in real world would be a little quicker.

Then added to the design. Two single and separate landing sections.

Then thought it would be quicker to have just one balloon for
the landing section. The underneath black 160 is a "V" shape.
And then added a split screen to the cockpit.

I then went on to making the helicopter from a 350 body,
I used a 5" quick link for the cockpit and it looks a little on the small side.
Maybe an 11" would be better or part of a 646, only one way to find out.

I made a couple of helicopters while sitting and waiting up at the TV studios the other day.

I thought the last green helicopter looked to small at the front.
Added an 11" quick link to the front.

I then did not like the look of the helicopter falling forward.
This might be an optical illusion but I took off the 260 that connected from
the blades to the landing gear and attached it through the body.
It looks better to me this way.

I should mention that at the Airdrie Levett & Lee day there was a nice helicopter
that I assumed had been made for the afternoon competition as it had a heart
for the back section.

It was this model that inspired me to have a play again with the helicopter design.
I did ask who made the model at the day but they may have left early..............
so thank you whoever it was.

I will add the picture later as it's on my laptop.
