For a while I have wanted to make some extra large designs, so this afternoon started to make a vase.
I started with five 11" rounds inflated to approx. 9 inches and then another 5 inflated to approx. 7 inches.
Not 100% certain as the first ones were inflated with two strokes of the aircraft pump and the next row one stroke.

I have taken a few pictures as it was constructed, I used 350's for the main body.
Off to add some detail to the design, I though about using 260 Ivory.

This is where I'm up to at the moment, I will post a few construction pictures in case anyone
fancies having a go at making something similar.
Not sure I like the Ivory around the lower section,
perhaps it needed placing around the vase touching it rather than against and away from the vase.

Maybe next time I will try version two.

I started off with a 6 spoke weave and then changed to a 12 three rows up.
I did this by adding an extra six bubbles into the row, picture 5.

I made up a few flowers, not overly mad on any of them at the moment.
Perhaps it needs 10 of just one design?

So back to the construction before I post the final picture, I had to quickly finish it last night.
There was a change of plan from picking it up Sat morning to Friday night.

This is where the weave went from 6 to 12 balloons.
If possible I do not like the bubbles to be more than 6 fingers in length when weaving.

Coming along, I did like the shape we ended up with, more by luck/guesstimate than anything else.

I think the vase took about an hour to weave. I was doing this and other things at the time.

One problem was the vase started with a 6 weave spoke and the bottom 11" rounds are just five,
next time perhaps we need to go five and five.

The vase finished, I do like the shape.
It's not fixed to the base as yet so was a little lop sided.

Graham, it is so nice you have been spending so much time to make these with the step by step instructions.  Thank you for all the time and the sharing.

It gives me something to do Thelma, keeps me out of mischief.

Anyway carrying on with the pictures, I think I preferred the shape before I added the Ivory 260 at the bottom.

Adding a little detail, I thought the leaf would make a nice shoe design or possibly a rabbit ear.
