Been working on an elephant this week.
I think I've got the head how I want it but work still needed on the body.

Suggestions please?

It looks good!  Have you considered using a round with a raisin dropped in for the body?  It would give you fewer lines and look really good, I think.

Thanks Lynnae, did think about a round but my range of balloons doesn't include many styles other than 260's with a few 160's. I have ordered a few different balloons this week so will be trying more new designs.

There is an elephant design in the model of the month section that may help.

Looks great! I love it and agree with Lynnae, a round with raisins could make an excellent body :D

Looking through some old pictures and found this elephant which may help you as it has a more solid looking body while just using 260's.

Personally, I really like him how he is! I love the other one with the chunky body BUT i like that yours is more slightly more cartoony than discovery channel if that makes sense? while still clearly being an elephant, and not being too much like a novelty balloon.... does any of that make sense???! I also love that its all done without the bigger balloons- for me it'd be more magic to watch "a balloon" (or however many) magic into an elephant shape without already thinking they looked shaped!!!!!!
Its nice to be important, but it\'s more important to be nice

After reading the forum I made this elephant.
The legs are a 350Q twisted into four loops. These attach to the knot on the 11" Orange Polka Dot balloon. Two raisin twists inside the Polka Dot at 11 and 4 o'clock positions for the head and tail. The ears just wrap around the connection between head and body.
I tried it with a neck, but prefer it without one.
