I was wanted a cool, simple jet to make for line work.  This is what I ended up with.  I used a 260 for the body, and a clear scrap for the cockpit.  It's pretty basic, but I like it.

I found a simple one balloon aeroplane on another site (can't remember where or who to credit, sorry) but the boys love it, especially on a hat

I love yours though Tonya and shall have a play at that tomorrow, thanks.

I like that one too Lisa..it's very cute and cartoony  :)
If you give it a try and can't get bubble sizes right, let me know and I'll post instructions.

Well with 2 sick kids at home I decided to take pity on them and make them an airplane each  :D  Well really I used it as an excuse to play  ;)

I have had 2 attempts at Tonya's plane as the first time I didn't put enough pinch twists in and the wing stuck up at a funny angle and the second time I over inflated the balloon   so I didn't have enough to finish it properly.

I also had a go at Lisa's which I really like but my kids seem to prefer Tonya's :(  Although I prefer Lisa's as it is a one balloon model which is great for busy jobs.

I'm still glad to have both in my arsenal though as I really screwed up a request for a plane at the weekend whereas I had winged it in the past

great try!  I had a little too much air the first time too.  I inflate and leave about a 5" tail, and stretch the balloon well before I start.  Nice job  :)

okay...this is 2 balloons and scraps, but I upscaled it and decided to use 350s instead.

350-jet-side.jpg[/attachment:2ybmqzb5]

The guns on the bottom are glued on with rubber cement.

I also tried one other using a 350 for the body...make a 5" bubble, 1" pinch twist, 4" bubble, 1" pinch twist, 4" bubble, 1" pinch twist, 2.5" soft bubble and remove remaining.  Then add 260 wings...1" pinch twist (connect to 1st pt on plane, and position under body), make a 6" bubble, 4"bubble, 1" pinch twist, (connect to 2nd pinch twist and position the same way). the do the wings on the other side, 4" bubble, 6" bubble and connect back to 1st pinch twist.  Remove the remaining balloon but tie off and use it for the tail.  I just split it into 2 equal bubbles and connect it into the last pinch twist.  Then add a 260 clear scrap for the cockpit, like in the others.

Hopefully that made sense...I'll try to get a picture if you need.

Here is my attempt at this most usable model and aslo the plane I usually make if asked, again one balloon. Good to have options if asked though.

I thought I would share my airplane. I make a couple different small balloons, but for this occasion I needed something a little larger. Weaving is not my strong point.....
I first tried a flat weave ---- but it looked more like a crocodile than a plane...

Then I tried a popcorn weave..... obviously wouldn't work...popcorn weave.jpg[/attachment:1kxhcwzt]
