Title: Snow White
Post by: Graham Lee on June 02, 2016, 09:25:05 PM
I decided t have a play tonight, I remember making a snow white at a Blackpool convention,
I thought it was last year 2015 but it turned out to be 2013, time flies.

So that was the starting point for this design, I also googled an image and worked from that.

I think the arms need to be a little shorter so might change tomorrow and get a picture in better light.

This is what I ended up with, looks like she is holding a tomato rather than an apple.

It actually went together on the first attempt Darren, I might actually show this at one of the days.
Would be nice for the birthday girl as her special balloon.

Pictures with no change, just better lighting.

I made her left arm slightly shorter, added a 160 down the front of the top of her dress
and then added a white collar.

She could possibly do with a few more 160's in yellow to add to the flow of her dress.

I Love her. How tall does she stand? Here is my first cutie doll SW I didn't have all the correct colours so was playing. Yours is so detailed. Amazing!

About 30/33 inches, in new money that is about 75/80 cms.
I had to google the cms answer.

Thanks Thelma, I had another play this afternoon after filming my BalloonTube clips.

Added a few more swirls and then re-did the neck and front of dress section.

I just shoved it in, it's just a push fit into the body.
If that is what you meant?

I did not like the way her hand was just.........there, it looked wrong so moved it so it looked a little more like the picture.

Really really like this dress design Graham :)  - might pinch this picture for inspiration to upgrade my princesses. Is the bodice 350s? It is so hard to tell scale from pictures. Looking at the 160 swirls I am guessing she is fairly tall? Do you have a round balloon in the skirt with the 160 swirls? You have got my brain ticking with this one :) x

I made a skirt variation the other day when we had a few around our house,
it was nice twisting with Danny, Susie, Kat and Rob.
This was the skirt I made, trying out Sabina's flower idea that she
showed at the last care & share day in Birmingham.

And it finished up looking like this.

I then had a play the following day after a suggestion from Rob.
I added a round inside the skirt for I think a nicer solid look.
