Title: Sonic
Post by: Graham Lee on August 18, 2015, 09:03:36 AM
I have never made sonic, my new courier driver's son is sonic mad so had a play last night. I will do the shoes again but for a first time I think it's not too bad.

I will probably make him again Stuart, I changed his hair a little on this version and added a new shoe design.
I think I will try another shoe design as well., a rear view in case someone wanted to have a go at making him.

Knowing you, you will probably come up with 20 designs before you are happy with it.  Looks good though.

Depends on how much free time I get Thelma, but I know what you mean. Close up for the back of head.

I made another Sonic yesterday, the one above is from 5 years ago.
The lower mouth looked to big in picture one so made a change
and the overall look of the face was not quite right.

Tried some other face variations, was looking for quick line work design.
None looked quite right to me.

And this is where we ended up................at the moment.
Nose is a little too big?

I thought the nose was a little big on the one above so made a little
smaller and tried blue arms as well.

And then the last picture is a mash up from my Sonic and Patrick's.

Another larger sized Sonic.
My variation on a theme from a design by Kenneth Kong on Facebook.

I made a few line work Sonics as was thinking of having this for November model of the month.
But I went for a Santa design as I thought that was more appropriate for this time of year.

Was trying to find an easier line work design.

This is the one I think I will film as the body and arms are from just one 260.
I do prefer the 160 arm design above but then that's another balloon and more time.
The plan was for a quicker design.

I just found these Sonics in my folder and not sure I have posted them.
They were made back in August of this year.
