Well things are looking up at last.  Mike was out of work for 5 months but has got a job now.  Phew!!  Unfortunately the same week he found out he had a job Vicky my daughter lost hers.  Well she went for an job at Spec Savers and got it.  So I made her a silly balloon.  She is a bit fed up with balloons though and looked at it and said "Whatever!"  

The figure is made with two round 5" balloons, one 260 for the arms and another balloon for the sign.   I thought I might as well show it.  I was quite pleased with the glasses anyway.

Funny you should mention spec savers as I went there last week for a eye test, picked up my new glasses and then had to go back again yesterday to have a re-test as they got my lenses strength wrong

Thanks.  I have a bad habit of taking an easy idea and complicating it.  Lately I have changed track and looked at getting things as simple as possible.  The glasses are the perfect example.  Two clear bubbles with the frame drawn on.  Duh! Why didn't I think of that before?

the specs are fantastic!  I love them! What a creative yet simple way to do them.  I have been trying to figure out an easy way to add specs to my restaurant figures.  thanks a bunch for sharing
