Title: Star Wars
Post by: Graham Lee on May 05, 2017, 10:49:17 AM
I have a star wars themed party tomorrow, Darth Vader is from Rogers workshop plus
the hat idea which is influenced from Mark Byrne.

Then it was onto Yoda, I have seen many made from balloons over the years
so this must have been influenced by others.........................so Thank you!

This was version three. I then pinch twisted the bubble above the mouth.

And here they are all together.

I made the light sabre from an idea I saw on Facebook, I thought I made
a note somewhere of whose design it was. I added the three extra red pinch
twists to the handle to try and get a better stronger connection to the design.

The spinner I think was from an idea from Juan Gonzales,

I just added the star wars theme to it and will make it into a couple of games as well.

Tried a couple of different face looks, sometimes I think I have too much time to spare.

Then bodied that one up.
All the designs are not going to waste as I'm taking them all up with me to London today.

I took all the attempts to the job to give away.
My little corner of the party room.

I had another play tonight and have a face that might be a little better.
Will get a picture in the morning.

The latest Yoda, the lower section of the face is a little different.

I made another couple of Yoda's yesterday, then added the mocha.

I did some up-sizing last night, the cloak form a 350 and not a 260 and the eyes
section and ears from a 260 and not a 160 to try and get proportions for head to body.

And the rear view in case anyone wanted to have a play.

I added a light sabre as Meyer got in touch via facebook and commented that he showed
this to a friend and they were unsure of what the design was. When told they said he had
to have either a stick/staff or light sabre. So I added one.

Just trying to get a more line work Yoda design with only using
one balloon for the head design.

in the first picture I attached the cloak/body section to the side of the head.
It did not work.

The last picture is not right for shape of head but I'm going to go
with plan B on that shape/construction later today.

I turned the double bubble around under nose, perhaps the eyes
need to be moved lower on the face...........................
Only one way to find out.

So playing about with the design and I think looking back the head design I
quite like I have made before but put the eyes in a different position on the face.

Positioning the bottom pinch twist horizontally and not vertically.
The cloak here has two sides to the lower robe where
before I was using one just as his stick.
I got this idea from someone else, thanks.

Going away from using one balloon for the head design you can get so much more detail.

Trying to sort out the one balloon head. The first and third picture are the same,
just when I turned it upside down it looked like a girls head.

Some more heads that I tried. The two together its just the bubble sizing that
is different but even that makes quite a difference to the overall look.

This is the design I think I will go with at the moment.
Its three balloons and a scrap for the eyes.

Possibly with a smaller mouth pinch twist bubble.

I did make the feet and hands from lime green but this added an extra balloon to the design.

Then I upscaled the design to 350's.
