Post by: Graham Lee on April 15, 2016, 02:50:21 PM
Getting ready for another big build that I have been wanting to try,
I woke up this morning with an idea for some wheels.

After adding the tread I played about with a 160 weaving in and out, if the diamond weave over the wheel
had been wider or the wheel itself smaller it may have worked but this for me made it too messy from the side angle.

I then went onto version two, will post later.

They look great Graham. Don't leave them on the floor otherwise you will have to tread carefully or you will puncture them!   :D

I don't think it looked quite right with the 160 weaved in and out of the diamond tread.

When trying version two it looked like the shape for a motorbike with back wheel, seat, tank and handlebars.

So this is how version two came out, I think more wheel like.

The last of the wheels. The metallic makes the wheel pop to me.

I made this wheel from an Idea from David, now David has told me I made it different from his design.
So will have to double check, I think it's more of a motorbike wheel than car.

A added a 160 to the inner circle and changed the position of the way it sat within the wheel.

We are both plodding along, as you do.
It's nice to see you back Sonia  :) Perhaps see you at a balloon day sometime soon?

I agree with you Graham, the double stuffed silver look really pops out and makes the wheel look great.

Looking forward to seeing big build three!  :D

Glad to hear it Graham :) I haven't done any days in about a year or so with you or anyone - couple of reasons first the business has grown a bit quicker than we thought and we have been running to keep up lol not that I am complaining :) 2nd my health continues to be a thorn in my side. Good news is I finally have a diagnosis 3 years later bad news is it's not really fixable although they have given me meds which may help if I can tolerate the side effects :) that all being said I will pop on to the website and have a look at what local ones you have coming up :) x

Version two of the wheel, it's the same but one side does not have the pinch
twists and we did the wheel in the chrome.
