Just made this on a live periscope broadcast. Was very nervous and typically the first balloon burst. Went ok in he end, despite obvious comments about the trunk (some people have dirty minds)
Since photos are down for some off he forum, thought I would post pics of other bottles I have done too
These are cool Stuart, great idea!!! ;)
What a brilliant idea! Love them
Love all of them :D
Thank you all :D
Here is a crocodile
Here is a bird
Good to see you are still playing Stuart and coming up with idea's :)
Thanks Graham, it is hard at the moment finding time with work but it is half term this week so hopefully a few more things to come.
Robin Hood liked a drink
A golfer
Love them, funny and creative ;)
Another bottle design
That is a funny one Stuart, made me smile. Did you model it on anyone you know?
Ha, no Graham, just helping someone out who had a question about gifts for swimming teachers on face book, though my dad was always renowned for his speedos. I did send a pic to Tom Daley too on Twitter as it could look like him?
They are all sooo good .I've been meaning to have ago
Had ago today brill will be using these in the future
That is great Alison. They do get addictive :D
Can't wait to try out other designs.
How much do you think I should charge for wrapping not the bottle included?
That is a good question Alison. I do think target market will matter here (some will pay more if it costs more!)
Personally, I would charge £4 to £10 depending on the complexity. In terms of balloon use, it tends to be one 646 (possibly two) and scraps or up to 4 other balloons (260 or 160).
Cost to us is therefore about 60 - 70p plus time (up to half an hour)
Some might charge more than I would but I love making them.
I've been puzzling over making faces for people and these characters are great. I wonder if there's a good place to learn faces like these? Most others I've seen are more involved with lots of balloons etc
Hers another one
Face I learnt from Robbie Furman dvd
Haha, brilliant. Is that DVD available in the UK anywhere or is it only from his website?
This is the video I used for making my first faces. Hope it helps http://youtu.be/_DsEW4GGvDo (http://youtu.be/_DsEW4GGvDo)
For the wine bottle faces, I use a different method. I will perhaps do some sort of photo tutorial for balloon chat
They are really sweet little characters. I directed a few people to your YouTube video.
Looking forward to seeing how to make these; it's probably so simple I'll kick myself! I'm just about getting to grips with things, but this one outfoxed me!
how do you get the bottle into the balloon? is there a tutorial for this please?
Indeed there is a tutorial. Here is the link https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tGWSI1SEnPU (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tGWSI1SEnPU)
Enjoy
Little help? I made this a number of years ago, and I can't for the life of me remember how to make the face of the dog. Can anyone help?(https://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc253/mujician/11846707_588666377924954_8082404350516891607_n_zpsko84blvh.jpg)
It looks like two small pinch twists, two 4 finger bubbles for top of
mouth and a loop twist for lower mouth. Could you not get some
balloon in hand and try to twist the bubbles as you see them?
Guessing the ears are just two 6 finger fold twists.
Yes, I intend on doing so Graham. I've not done any balloons really since my daughter was born. Now my son is 1, I intend on taking back a little 'me time' and practicing again. I need to find someone who has a birthday and likes dogs so I have a legitimate reason for practicing this!
