Hi Pippa,

No problem at all. I'll appreciate the company. I've sent you a private message on here with my mobile number so we can arrange thinks without having to kept checking the forum.

Hi Pippa,

I'm based in Wymondham. I'm driving to Birmingham on the Monday but unfortunately I have a Specsavers seminar at the ICC in Birmingham city on the Tuesday so can't make Simons lecture, but I'm going to go to Rob's on the Wednesday and will then be driving home after so I could always drop you wherever you are staying on the Monday and obviously you could grab a lift back. As its a work trip I have to make I'll be claiming the petrol anyway!!

Let me know if that's of any use to you.

Regards

Richard

Hi Graham,

Will you have one with you at Bishop Stortford if they haven't already sold. I'm interested but obviously just want to have a look at one?

Here are my Christmas balloons. The head band is thanks to Chitwister on YouTube and I just can't remember where I saw the snowman.

That's ok Graham, I trust the Christmas show was a hit?

If it's ok I would really like the Don Caldwell Mad Hatz and Wild Wearables please.

I've read so many great things about this DVD.

Balloon Tutorial & Help / Re: 260 sidewall?!!
December 01, 2015, 07:54:20 PM
Evening Ben

Being a relative newbie I struggled initially when making that as well. The 260 side wall bubble seemed impossible. The best advise I can give is make that particular bubble really quite soft as once the sidewall bubble is in place and the 646 is attached it becomes quite firm again.

I found that making a sort of intial bend as if you were going to make a loop twist in the section you want the sidewall bubble in and then twisting the small bubble into the top of the bend as it was much easier to get a hold of than just trying to squeeze a straight bubble and the fact that it's soft makes that easier to do.

I also practised doing it a few times on a undeed 260 first.

Hope that makes sense, it does in my head but not sure it does in writing.

Looking forward to seeing your finished Alien once you have mastered it, because the finished design looks great.  Also if your looking for a great design that's a winner Dylan's Bosco bear is fab. The photo on his site doesn't do it justice.

Good luck

Richard

5, 4, 3, 2, 1 - Thunderbirds are Go

I woke up this morning with a burning desire to make a Thunderbird 1. Perhaps because its approaching Christmas and it brings back memories of the Tracy Island I never had!!

So here it is.......

I like the top and middle just couldn't get a better bottom with the 'fins'.

Balloon Review / Re: 123 - ALIEN PDF BY DYLAN GELINAS

I finally had a go at this tutorial, easy to follow steps and really clear diagrams. I have to say I did struggle to get the side wall bubble in the 260 but managed it eventually and fairly pleased with the outcome!
