Thanks Cindy  :)
It is pretty cute and might be a good starting point if I can't find one that is more involved (it's for a delivery rather than line work)

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: pay per balloon events.
September 09, 2014, 12:17:49 PM
I'm considering doing events like this. I'm not an entertainer so would really be selling on the day as an income and a way of advertising deliveries rather than hoping it would get me party bookings.

If I was just looking for party bookings I might think differently as a single booking could make the day of 'advertising' worth doing but I would be going there to make money on the day so my answer may not be the same as others on here. Also bear in mind that I haven't actually been out and tested my theory yet either.

My gut is that the price an item needs to be is the price you sell if for. Maybe a little cheaper as hopefully you will be doing volume but not much. It is partly because I am there to make money not friends, and partly because I don't want to lessen the value of what I or other twisters do.

If a party company turns out swords for £1 then I would be selling something better for £2 etc. You can have the shops own version of ballooning over at the party stall or the 'finest' range with me.

If at the end of the day people only want the shops own version then personally I am not getting out of bed :)

Balloon Chit Chat / Meerkat - was it Twistina?
September 09, 2014, 12:01:28 PM
I am pretty sure it was Twistina that did a gorgeous standing meerkat a couple of years ago
In the back of my mind she did simplified instructions for one - can anyone remember if it was her and if there were any instructions made available? More than happy to pay for them.

Many balloon cup designs can be found in the Book "Magic Balloon Design" by Beating.

Graham sells them here: //http://www.qualatexballoons.co.uk/products/Beating_Book_Includes_Shipping-570-0.html

And there are some wonderful balloon figures as well as balloon cup designs! Plus the book is beautiful, loads of photos & explanations.

 Ordered :) Thanks

Balloon Chit Chat / Balloon Bellies

I've seen a few pics of characters that people have made with a balloon tummy that contains sweets or something similar.
I could copy the design as they seem pretty simple but does anyone know of a dvd etc that shows the concept? That way I can give that person something back for the use of their idea rather than just using it.

If it is from a freebie that someone has posted on youtube etc then does someone have a link? That way I can credit them somehow

Quote from: "CJ Nelson"Thought I would try my hand at making a Balloon Cup for V-Day based on the Bear in Beatings book.  I think it turned out well, despite the Starbucks logo on the back side.  How do you use this product?  I work out of my home and do a fair number of deliveries, but have a minimum order and I cannot imagine someone paying my min. for one of these.  Has anyone found a way to sell these successfully?  I could see it as a impulse item at a retail store, but nothing beyond that.

This is just so cute!!!
Not used cups before but love the look of how you have attached it to the cup. It's really neat and tidy - how have you done it?
If you got it from a pdf or something that you bought happy to do the same.

How are the other characters looking?

Hi Twistina
I know it's much easier to say than to do but please don't let this get to you. It will for a while but try and forget about it.
Sadly there are people like this all over the place. They are bullies.
His comments are far outweighed by all the others that you must get on a weekly basis.
Don't give in to him.
